Zen had known that he’d be running a bit behind schedule for the party — a discussion with the director had resulted in rehearsal being cut short, on the condition that they practice extra long in the coming days. He wasn’t terribly keen on adding more work onto his shoulders, even if just for a day or so to make up for missed time.

Regardless, the RFA party was worth the effort. While Miki’s presence in the chatroom had been unexpected and somewhat disconcerting to begin with, opinion of him had changed. The new party planner was hard working and determined, the two most necessary attributes to ensure the party’s success. It was a bit nerve-wracking to suddenly host an event again after so long, but a good kind of nerves. 

As he entered the venue, he immediately surveyed the area for a friendly face — only to have his gaze land on a guy leaning against the wall, glued to his phone while guests mingled all about. Zen felt confident that he knew exactly who he was. Long strides carrying him across the hall, he approached the shorter male with a grin pulling at his lips. Upon his approach, he leaned slightly forward, as though trying for a peek at the screen of the phone Miki held in his hand. “Anything interesting in the chatroom?” The query was laced with teasing, Zen’s eyes lifting to meet green ones.

He hadn’t even realized someone approached until he heard the other male’s voice. Miki immediately went rigid before he slowly lifted his eyes to meet vivid red ones. Oh--! This had to be Zen! The blond let out a relieved sigh, relaxing his shoulders before offering the taller man a sheepish smile. “Z-Zen! I’m glad I finally get to see you in person! Your photos really don’t do you justice.”

Shit, shit, shit, did he really just say that aloud? Miki was internally screaming! His face started to turn a bright shade of scarlet as he peered back down at his phone and shut it off. “I-I mean, what I MEANT was.. you’re even handsomer in person-- y-you look good! I like your clothes...?”

God, he should just stop talking! 

He slipped his phone inside his pocket and resisted the urge to cover his face. Maybe he should talk about something else, anything else! “Are any of the others here yet? O-or is it just us?”

Rose, ever the adventurous one, was always excited to travel. Her home was here, currently, but local myths always piqued jer interest. Especially those of places that others claimed it altered the human psyche. So far, she had been disappointed. Thankfully.

Her question had a reason behind it. She sighed softly, nodding. “I do think that you are good looking. Don’t get me wrong, I prefer women but I have had my fair share of boyfriends- I guess that’s obvious from my children, they couldn’t deny me as their mother if they tried,” this was followed by a soft laugh.

“But, I’ll keep an eye on any guests in the future, if they recognize you, I will immediately distract them and if they ask, I will easily convince them that they have the wrong person.”

“...you’re a good friend.” Miki admitted, feeling of uneasiness not seeming to go away. It was nice to know that Rose had his back, though he couldn’t help but feel anxious. It was in his nature. 

“I... j-just really can’t have the other RFA members catching wind that I used to strip. I’d probably be bombarded with questions and--” He sighed, “Thank you.”
