     Shooot, I was really hoping to spend Halloween with you guys! Unfortunately, I spent my Halloween at the hospital with my mother, and ever since it’s been kind of a whirlwind of portfolio prep for my graduation happening in A MONTH! So I apologize for being absent during the time of year I should have been spookin’. 

But that just means we’re going to make up for that with Spooksgiving and Creepsmas this year. I have other exciting announcements and projects that I’m going to share with you all as well, so I appreciate everyone being patient!

My mother and I have been living in the same house for most of my life, and while we've been through stressful times such as the loss of my grandparents, financial woes, and my mom's cancer diagnosis in 2016, being a close-knit family has kept us strong through it all. However, we have only recen...

We thought we could do it alone, 

but even after my recent new employment, my mother and I are finding that the deadline for finding a new place to live is coming up quickly. Today, we reached an exciting point: we found a home we want to rent. The problem is that the process of moving is far above our current budget, and my extra job won’t start paying out for several weeks. 

A Quick Rundown: My mother is a stage 4 cancer patient on disability and I am her caregiver and only person living with her. Our landlord only recently decided to switch to a ‘no pets’ policy, and since I work for an animal rescue and raise neonatal kittens in our home, we’re in trouble because the kittens in my care are too young to be adopted or re-homed. My mother is also at risk of being separated from Neyati, her 3 year old black cat, who has been with her through her entire cancer treatment. 

We need to move out before we violate the lease. If we’re evicted, we can be refused when trying to rent another home. We can afford rent, utilities, etc. in the home we’re moving into, but we need help affording a moving vehicle to transport our belongings and purchases such as replacing some of the appliances (oven, stove, fridge, washer/dryer) that our landlord plans to keep.
