En sidste gang (one last time)
I’ve had a wonderful week in Copenhagen! I was at Tivoli for 8 hours on Sunday, I rode my bike and ran along the beach road, I went to Malmo, Sweden, and I had a picnic in the park with my friends. BUT! I am leaving Denmark in less than 24 hours.
So today, I did some things for the last time. I rode my bike through the woods and along the beach road, I had lunch with my extended host family (smørrebrød selvfølgelig- open-face sandwiches of course), and I said goodbye to my extended host family and their dog, Molly.
It’s weird. I have never been away from home for so long, but Denmark is like a second home now. Right now, I think I am in denial about leaving, but maybe I will have more to say about it once I am home.
On the bright side, I have aisle seats for both of my flights home! I had middle seats for both of my flights here, so that’s an improvement. Also, my host family will be bringing me to the airport tomorrow, and my family family will be picking me up in Boston.
Someday, I will be back in Denmark, so this is only “vi ses” (”see you”), not “farvel” (”goodbye”).
See you tomorrow, USA.
