There are still three more weeks of august, and I don’t need Target reminding me that the school year is right around the corner,” Arden spoke in an irritated and mocking tone. “At least there’s only one more year until they can’t keep me prisoner anymore.”
cordelia was sprawled across the plush couch, lazily painting her nails a soft shade of pink as she half paid attention to the buzz of the television. one eyebrow raised as she glanced across the room to her foster sibling. “i swear you’ll miss it when it’s gone. they were the best years of my life, now who knows what’s going to happen.” she didn’t normally have such a pessimistic attitude about university, just a week prior she had been pinning up photos of UCLA all around the house, but recent events had thrown everything into uncertainty.
