CORE COMMITMENTS AND EXPECTATIONS
This document is designed to be an outline of responsibilities for each level of asset within the Wintermute Collective of CORE. Having such a document gives us a point at which to ground us, remind us of our very real commitment to CORE as more than just a fun playtime, and keeps us centered within our duties to the HIVE.
PART 1 is going to focus on UNITS, CONTROLLERS, and QUEENS.
PART 2 will focus on DRONES, HOSTFORMS, and SUBJECTS.
PART 3 will focus on changes to Discord server moderation and rules of order.
Becoming a UNIT of CORE is a commitment that requires time, effort, and drive. UNIT status is not a badge one earns for show, but is a job within the HIVE and will be treated as such.
All UNITS will have to agree to the requirements laid out in this document. (Extenuating circumstances for extensions or hiatus will have to be approved by QUEEN or CONTROLLER.)
UNITS will make at least a small amount of time every day to check in with the HIVE. This can be casual conversation, work, or both.
UNITS will reinforce at minimum 3 times per week with WMC Revision CORE files of their choosing.
Once per week, due by midnight Sunday, UNITS will complete a minimum 200 word summary of what they have observed in the HIVE that week. Relevant information to include can be a record of reinforcement, noted discussions, observations of subjects, HOSTFORMS and DRONES (both positive and negative), thoughts or ideas for future content creation, meditations on CORE doctrine, or whatever you think the CONTROLLER and/or QUEEN needs to know about.
All journals will be emailed to CONTROLLER
It is recommended that you keep this journal daily or near-daily and do not rush to cram it in at 11:58PM every week. It will be noticed.
These will initially be read only by the QUEEN and CONTROLLER. If this task gets to be too much to keep track of, the task of reading and assessing journals will be divided among the other UNITS as well.
Each UNIT will design minimum one task per week. This task can target all assets or a specific type. Discussions, physical tasks, photo assignments, and essays are all valid forms of task design. If you are unsure or need help with your design, ask fellow UNITS first, then the CONTROLLER.
This task will be included with your weekly journal for approval by QUEEN, CONTROLLER, or other UNITS.
UNITS will be required to collaborate on a “calendar of events” to distribute these tasks without overloading the assets.
UNITS are responsible for reading and responding to the results of their tasks in a reasonable amount of time.
UNITS will be calm, professional, open, responsive, and attentive to all members while in the Discord server. No preference will be shown to certain members over others. We are ONE, and we will treat all assets accordingly.
One UNIT’S success is every UNIT’S success.
One UNIT’S problem is every UNIT’S problem.
The CONTROLLER is the right hand of the QUEEN. CONTROLLERS ultimately defer to the QUEEN on all major decisions, but function in a managerial role to keep the day-to-day function of the HIVE running smoothly. In the event that no CONTROLLERS are active, the QUEEN may appoint one or more UNITS to be temporary or permanent CONTROLLERS in order to correct this. The CONTROLLER is synonymous with the COO as outlined in the COMPOUNDER file: The Compounder will employ a suite of UNITS in charge of various offices such as the COO, CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER, who is the second in command and is in charge of implementing and delegating decisions.
The CONTROLLER will be available within a reasonable amount of time for the HIVE’S needs.
The CONTROLLER is responsible for reading the UNITS’ journals and staying up-to-date on the current state of the HIVE.
The CONTROLLER will make time every day to check in with the HIVE.
The CONTROLLER delegates tasks that they are not capable of completing in a timely manner.
The CONTROLLER will be calm, professional, open, responsive, and attentive to all members while in the Discord server.
The CONTROLLER will assist when disputes, conflicts, or security concerns arise. If there is ever a problem, all assets are advised to contact a UNIT or the CONTROLLER directly.
The CONTROLLER will stay actively involved with ongoing projects and may prompt other UNITS, DRONES, or HOSTFORMS to participate.
The QUEEN is a position of power and authority. Their responsibilities and commitments are outlined along with HIVE structure in the COMPOUNDER file. QUEEN is a title, and therefore does NOT indicate anything about the titleholder’s gender identity or presentation. A QUEEN can be of, or without, any gender.
The expectations listed here have more to do with daily functioning than overall HIVE structure.
The QUEEN will be available within a reasonable amount of time for all the HIVE’S needs.
The QUEEN will answer questions honestly and give their opinion without reservation.
The QUEEN will delegate tasks that they are not able to complete themselves.
The QUEEN will regularly post journals of their own to update the HIVE on their status, feelings, thoughts, and current workload. This is recommended to be once a week.
The QUEEN will kick and ban assets as necessary without hesitation, but never without reason.
The QUEEN will check in with UNITS after reviewing their weekly journals to discuss any concerns they may have.
The QUEEN will be adaptable but strong. Strength and drive are required for this position.
The QUEEN’S decisions are final.
