Hello! Thanks for stopping by!!! I'm Corey, my head is a tv, my body is a deer and they trapped me in a Void forcing me to make cartoons until I cease to exist. Sometimes I draw pictures too.

Currently I'm working on an Animated Pilot Called "Please Stay Tuned" about a tv man who wants to be watched.

What is the recommended amount of headpats and head kisses an ace unit would need to keep him happy. I got mine and was wondering what the adequate amount would be

Ace knows life can be busy so there is no required amount. I usually suggest 5, but hes happy with any and all love you give him :)

Have you contacted any indie studios about getting a job?

The issue with "indie studios" is unless youre Spindlehorse or Glitch, you work on "indie budgets".

Youve probably heard the phrase "indie rate" alot and often its because the rate is very very very low.

Im talking often lower than minimum wage.

I was once brought on a project where they wanted me for a year and the total pay was about 800 bucks.

Animation is VERY EXPENSIVE. (A single episode of family guy costs 2 mil to make) and the reason indie animation cant really thrive off of a few success stories is it simply cannot afford to.

Indie is funded on kickstarters or selling merch (which people like to whine about) and it isnt sustainable in the long run for the artists who create it.

One conversation thats uncomfortable we need to have is how the big indie animation groups will have to eventually evolve into the "new" industry. one more dominated by artists over shareholders.

one that can at least afford paying artists livable wages.

Because at the moment, its not sustainable.

dont even get me started on indie projects that are "volunteer only"

theres another uncomfortable conversation to be had about some indie productions taking advantage of newer/desperate artists and mistreating them with long hours and low/no pay.

Now, ive worked with some indies before, some great! But often the work isnt consistent or high paying to fund a basic life. Ill gladly work on anything that pays a decent wage and has consistent work.

im not cool enough to work at glitch (ive tried and if Glitch ever does want me, IM RIGHT HERE) , I feel like the gate has long been shut to anyone who doesnt already have industry experience/knows someone.

Hi Corey! Hope you're surviving.

I was wondering if Ace's blue vector appearance was at all influenced by the dream scene in Electric Dreams, or is that just coincidence?

while ace's existence is owed to me watching electric dreams and going "I could treat him better", it wasn't the factor in his color. Blue just looked good and showed up the best on camera and on his screen
