Snapshot! - finished TGAA, had a crisis, fell in love with this man [I'm aroace], had another crisis, broke a wine glass, made some stickers, had a crisis [unrelated]. does he only get 1 hour of screentime in a 160hr game? yea. do I care? nay nay.
In Utero - the Offing piece is a bit old now (couple months? yike) but this is actually FINALLY recent. rendering does in fact save lives huh. haven't been happy with my quality so I've been doing studies and giving mine a hard look. also desperately need to speed up my process-- so honestly this checked all the boxes. only 2.5hr, way more fluid looking than I expected with the intended visual effects and composition. only the best for Fig my sweet littol girl.
Offing - I've been having fun trying to learn about making old 90s/dark fantasy cartoon effects lately. I like how this turned out, even if it's a bit subtle.
I'm excited to finally start posting art of the CYSTS cast now that I'm settling into the style I'll be using for the visual novel. for those new here, CYSTS is Can You See the Sun? Tell Me If You Do, a dramatic mystery/horror VN set in a liminal space I've been picking at for 2 years in its proper form-- before that it was a Fanganronpa to be completely honest. Markus, who I drew some time ago with his boyfriend Ezra, is one of the cast as well. hopefully I can get chapter one out by the end of the year but I won't be making major announcements until much later. learning Renpy coding has been difficult and delightful.

I know some people aren't fans of the power of friendship being the solution for all, not me though. I eat it up with a smile on my face. I adore good endings.
I was really surprised to like Mithrun as much as I do. I found myself really relating to him. He's just like me fr accept he's much cooler (so he's almost like me fr (人*´∀｀)).
I'm not planning on writing a full analysis of his character (I'll probably do that later) so I just doodled him

Battle of the Bands 1999 - Did this piece as a means to practice some new techniques and skills and I’m very happy with the results! Really trying to improve my efficiency time. A piece like this usually takes me 5 - 8 hours depending on the specifics but this was only 3.5. To make it more fun, it’s a collab with the delightful screw_thepooch on Instagram. We decided to both draw on the same reference with our respective band anthros. Mine is Juno on the left and theirs is Ian on the right. The non-Polaroid version and Screw’s art is below! What a wild duo too, a yeentah and a unicorn. Fun fact I think this is the first time I’ve drawn a horse ever.

Dark of the Moon - MAN why did no one tell me rewatching Death Note as an adult is a whole different experience?? no one should be surprised A. I like TGAA with its mind games and serious but then has a totally unhinged tone. and B. that I love post-rock because come on this entire OST counts right? anyway it's been a lovely time getting looks from coworkers and customers alike with my dramatic ahh choir threatening to make their dog ascend to moral heights no canine has known while I try to run their visa. now I just need to time the sunlight right and I'll really look the part. this is part of a duo piece, L's is a work in progress, and all sketched. they're both keychains as well. if you're interested, I already threw up Light's listing.
To Be Anything at All - no words for this one, really, Mithrun is just one of the most special characters in media to me and I've wanted to draw him for so long but just haven't gotten around to committing to it. this shit took me 9 hr 26 min ffs. I'm so excited to see him in season 2. the manga altered my brain chemistry so good gods I'm assuming it'll just melt out my skull when i see this shit fully animated and voiced.
this one i'm planning as a wooden keychain and as standees, i'm just searching for new manufacturers right now so if anyone knows of some good ones that can actually make it to the US or within the US so I can dodge customsss please let me know <3
Desperately Lonely - one Yoshiki got my thinking about the other Yoshiki and if I had a nickel for every time a guy with that name had a supernaturally predisposed unrequited crush I would have two nickels which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it’s happened twice
this was a goddamn blast to render, blood is fast becoming one of my favorite subjects to work with in art because of its properties. I need to do some proper gore art sometime soon but baby steps eh? oh and sorry for low res if it shows I uh shrunk the canvas rather than blow up the sketch so the bitch is SMALL unfortunately.
Ryuulocket - did I already upload the Holmes? yeah. ain't gonna delete it pfff. exterior of the locket below the cut! this took way too long since I'm so new to getting my art manufacturing-ready but this time,,, I think everythin is lookin good to go. CYMK color space? on it. .psd files? easy. correct dimension specs? you bet your ass. I got the first one ordered as a prototype and I'm so fuUUUCKING excited?? if all looks good then I'll move along to the next portraits. in no particular order it'll be... Susato, Iris, Mikotoba, and Kazuma. that way I can sort of avoid doing the secondary portraits for now until I get a small roster. each premade duo will have a different engraving on the back.
Locket Detective - still working on the subtler flower + case item keychains but I wanted to do some designs for character ones too and since my manufacturer does hinged keychains 👁 👁 who wants character lockets?
I’ll premake some more popular ships and platonic/familial duos [and my personal favs ofc] and then have a custom option for any two characters. those wouldn’t be too much more and just require a bit of time to get ordered. I’ll need to do 2 sides to each face to allow for it but that’ll be good fun. why not start with the very normal extremely healthy not traumatized detective eh? he lives rent free in my brain

Just a Reporter - I need to finish this piece after commissions but man, this is the thing about the guy. he knows his own morality— he knows he’s unable to ignore problems. and I’ll take a bet that thanks to it he would rather not know at all. not that he regrets what he did, I don’t think so, but I really do think he’s bitter about it.
furthermore I’m sure he’s kept up at night trying to piece together what happened to Kazuma. I saw a comic once addressing it briefly but it was Susato-focused [understandably!]. it’s all or nothing. unfortunately he wandered into a terribly complex ‘all’ that’s left him stuck in prison, unable to finish the story. not even for the world— just for himself.
Markus’ Moving Castle - introducin the Men Ever™️ Markus and Ezra— the peak of “and they were roommates” “oh my god they were ✨roommates✨💅”ing too close to the Sun. look even we the writers did not intend for this but it is quite literally perfect and we just glanced up one day at 180 Google doc pages and. yeah. anyway they’re the center of each other’s universe, soulmates in every way, been through hell together and dragged one another back out. some of that hell was inflicted on each other but never intentionally. and Markus is, at this point, a pseudosona if we’re being totally honest— again, unintentionally. anyway Markus is deuteragonist in a silly little 1990s surreal mystery visual novel I’m writin so heyyyyy if you think he and his boyf sound neat maybe stick around to see that.

Binary Stars - get canon x oc’d idiot. Kaito and Genma have been the most darling, self-indulgent first step into I am cringe and free and I love them for it.
Genma is our whispered-of rival from the Love Hotel scenes with Kaito. he started years ago as a character for Fandomstuck and been a brain worm ever since. now he’s a failed astronaut who forced Kaito out of his life after said dismissal from JAXA. until, of course, the super galactic fuck does the one thing he’s best at and forces his way right back in. it works btw
