The CCA Biennial Symposium on September 19, 2014 discussed the seemingly paradoxical extremes of scale at which we live our contemporary lives.

The event featured a keynote address from Paul Thomas; a discussion on CCA Artist-in-Residence Kimsooja's installation piece A Needle Woman: Galaxy was a Memory, Earth is a Souvenir with Uli Wiesner, Hiroaki Sai, Ferdinand Kohl; a panel on New Materialities/New Forms with Maria Fernandez, Jenny Sabin, Andrew Lucia, Martin Miller, Juan Hinestroza, So-Yeon Yoon, Robert Hovden, Caio Barboza, Joseph Kennedy, and Sonny Xu; a presentation by Ana Viseu; a panel on Art as Cosmology with Ricardo Dominguez, Diane Ludin, Amy Sara Carroll, and Paul Thomas, followed by a reception on the Arts Quad.
