Eight years ago I saw you making your senior debut and I knew there was something special in your skating. I had the privilege to see you become Bronze Olympic Medalist in 2022 and win 4 World Titles. I saw you grow, improve, and transform this sport with your power, your smiles, your charisma, and beautiful soul.

Know that you gave us all. You did your best.

What a program to finish your career. All I could do was sob all the way through.

Thank you for all my dear Kaori Sakamoto.

Stolas haters are another level. Like, they decide to just ignore canon and the moments when he has CLEARLY SHOWN he loves his daugther and how she is the only good thing in his life only because he's made mistakes.

You see Octavia and understand the reason she is mad is because her dad was her everything, but now Blitz is on the picture and she feels left out. She clearly doesn't understand her mother's and father's situation (which I don't get. Stella takes her phone and doesn't allow her to contact her dad, and Via just LETS HER? and never fights back??) and took the fact Stolas was taking pills in the worst way instead of analyzing it because she is clearly hurt and the only thing she knows is that the only person who ever took care of her is now choosing to leave. She cannot see beyond her hurt. I think this is because Stolas kinda overprotected her and she never saw the problems on her own family. Her father looked happy, and now she realized he was only enduring. Pretending. We know he did that out of love for her, but it is understandable she cannot see it that way now.

Stolas clearly made mistakes and failed her even when that wasn't his intention. Even when he tried to protect her, he hurt her. It is clear that in Via's eyes he chose Blitz and she feels resentment, and it is completely valid she feels that way because Stolas made a rushed decision and didn't think of her daughter in that moment.

But to say Stolas doesn't love his daugther or that he barely cares for her is just ignoring the canon. How he was the only one we see in her pictures and drawings and he clearly spends that month reaching out. He is her confident, and she lost him, that is why she is so disappointed and hurt.

Parents make mistakes. Stolas is actively TRYING to make it right with Octavia, has always been doing so. She is the reason why he stayed in that abusive relationship. Haters can make all the headcanons they want and make Stolas look worse than he actually is just because they hate him, but canon contradicts the "he doesn't love Via" BS.

So about all this lucemond situation

At first I didn’t want to say anything because I’m no one in this fandom, I’m just a reader that leaves kudos and comments here and there. But omg, did I expect better for an adult fandom with adult fans. I’ve been in fandom spaces since I was 12 and I’m reaching my thirties now but I’ve never seen the level of toxicity and entitlement as bad as in this (small has heck) fandom and I used to be an exol back in 2014-2017 when the exo fandom was at full steam (and it’s kpop one -if not the most- toxic fandom ever). You guys know that curating your own spaces is the best thing to do to navigate fandom peacefully but I guess with how small this fandom is, something like this was kind of inevitable.

Some of you don’t have reading comprehension or you guys need to google the meaning of plagiarism because leaving those kinds accusations when people are just following tropes is just… well questionable, to say the least. In a fandom as small as this one is common to find the same premises being written left and right, what an author does with them its what’s really sets apart each and any one of those fanfics. As a Spanish speaker I have also read many fics in Spanish with those tropes and premises similar to the ones that people are mentioning, whether they are modern au or a/b/o au. What I mean is that it’s not something exclusive to the English part of the fandom. Tropes are called tropes for a reason and they’re popular almost globally.

I can’t speak of the fanart part of the discussion but for what I’ve recalled, referencing classic art is not something unheard of. If I’m not mistaken (and if I am, please correct me) when something is on the public domain, it can be used by all (?).

In conclusion, stop being mean just for the sake of creating drama, there are people who got hurt and this fandom is shrinking day after day because of all the entitlement and drama some people have.

At the end of the day, I hope everyone that is involved in these situations is alright. Also, remember that taking a break or leaving an online space if you are not comfortable anymore is also ok.

If these people saw the amount of fics with similar premises and dialogues in Spanish, they would die of a stroke. It seems as if they have never been to a fandom and don’t know a thing of how prompts work. I have seen real plagiarism. Word by word and changing only the names while claiming it’s theirs. THAT is plagiarism.

The sad thing is that corviids, just like you, stayed in her little bubble and was forced to come out due to these acusations.

I will only say that ideas are similar in all fandoms. Calling some similarities and situations "plagiarism" was uncalled for. Ideas are not original. As a writer myself, I have had a whole story painted out in my mind only to see another author post the exact idea later.

And the fact that so many authors left due all this disaster is just too sad.

Same! This applies to everything in the artistic world. There’s no longer such a thing as 100% originality whether that be a fic idea or reference pose because everything has been done before. There are fics I read years ago in completely different fandoms that have given me similar vibes to a few Lucemond fics. It doesn’t make me raise an eyebrow at the author but instead that much more interested in reading this persons take on a plot I enjoyed in the past.

Everything is based off of /inspired by another person’s work in one way or another and I feel that’s the beautiful part. That we as creators can share similar mindsets yet are still able to add our own unique little twists to them.

Seeing authors leave always makes me sad. Especially when it comes to drama that could’ve been worked out in more private less aggressive environment where everyone involved could’ve gotten out their hurt.

All we can do is try and spread more positivity while being kinder.

It is funny to me how some people believe there is only black and white in this life. For them, there are bad and "good" people. They cannot handle the fact that their favs can be as mean as the baddies they fight against.

starting to think lucemond fandom genuinely doesn't know the difference between plagiarism and popular tropes. our fandom is kinda small and since everything started we have plenty of fics with the pretty much the same prompts. like arranged married au, luke presenting during storms end or the chasing ending in a mating hunt, lukoochie, lucemond in modern setting being spoiled baby girl luke, etc etc etc.

so yeah i can see how the confusion can happen but like why not reach out and try to sort this matter privately first? the fandom is already getting smaller and smaller it's truly sad to see creators being witch hunted or for obvious reasons not wanting to be part of it anymore.

hi y’all :) i just wanted to say something because there’s the really off putting energy within the lucemond fandom right now so i wanna say my piece more so for my peace of mind.

i’m ready to just move on from all this. while i am still hurt and confused why any of this had to happen in the way it did, and i think it was highly inappropriate for it to transpire as it did, there’s really no point in getting hung up on it. fandom is suppose to be a fun and enjoyable thing and it isn’t fair to let a few bad actors ruin it for you — i had to think about this for myself over the past two days. does all of this suck? yes, one hundred percent. but i don’t wanna let the fear of what people may be saying about me behind my back dictate how i behave. i have every right to exist in fandom spaces.

in general, i just want to have fun on here. writing and drawing and talking with y’all is fun and has genuinely helped me through some of the worst months of my life in recent memory. this fandom and the content i’ve made for it means a lot to me and i don’t wanna (nor intend anytime soon) to leave that behind.

drama is very stupid in my opinion. i’ve for a long time insisted that it had no place on my blog bc this is suppose to be a positive space and what bugs me the most is someone forced my hand on it. that all being said, it’s stupid and pointless. don’t let other people ruin the things you enjoy — and this applies to anything.

i wanna get back to rambling and having fun talking with you all. remember just to be kind to each other and if someone bothers you, just ignore them.
