|| Get to know DIANA GUSTE who’s THIRTY years old and works as a JOB UP TO PLAYER in town. She is from CORONA and is often times mistaken for BRENDA SONG while others say she reminds them of DISGUST from INSIDE OUT. ||

Having high standards and expectations for herself and the people around her, it was no surprise to anyone when Diana quickly became one of the most popular girls in even her elementary school. Sure she was picky and had a tendency to be a little harsh when it came to giving out her opinions, but she was the best dressed and most social gal around which made up for those flaws. Being accepted by everyone and the center of attention has always been Diana’s one motivation in almost everything she’s done. Only once has there ever been an exception or a time when she’s let go of her ridiculous standards… and that was when she met a group of misfits her freshman year of high school.

Placed in the same homeroom and a few other classes, Diana was forced to interact with people that rarely ever made it on her radar: Angelo, Joy, Ferris, and Debby. They were weird and at first she wanted nothing to do with them, but the more she actually got to know them the closer she found herself becoming. Until winter break rolled around and she found herself actually genuinely missing the group while away on vacation. When school returned, Diana fully embraced the fact that the five of them were now actually friends and she’s never looked back from that moment. Their friendship remained strong throughout all of high school and college, so strong that their Junior year of undergrad they all decided to move into a house together, where they still live to this day along with two new additions to their little group, Riley and Billy. It’s a life Diana never would have pictured for herself, far from the luxurious fantasies she once dreamed of as a child, but she still wouldn’t change it for the world.

|| Get to know DEE DEE TARTAKOVSKY who’s TWENTY-SEVEN years old and works as a BALLERINA in town. She is from RUSSIA and is often times mistaken for LUCY FRY while others say she reminds them of  DEE DEE from DEXTER’S LABORATORY. ||

Dee Dee has always known what she wanted. She wanted to dance, she wanted to wear her hair in cute pigtails, and she wanted to kiss a unicorn before she turned thirteen. A girly girl who wasn’t very bright, but she made it up in kindness. The only person she wasn’t kind to (on occasion) was her little brother Dexter. But she couldn’t help it! She loved him dearly and she treated him like a typical older sister would. He was not like a typical younger brother in the sense of he was super genius, but she didn’t care. Family was family, and that meant she was going to make sure her brother was taken care of. Especially at school. She had pushed and got into her own fair share of heated arguments over her brother against school bullies, but she made sure Dexter never found out.

She had been dancing ballet since she was a child and it was all she pursued the rest of her life. She went to school for it, she lived and breathed it, and when she was old enough, she joined a dance company to dance professionally. She gave dance lessons outside of her job and loved doing it. She was well known around the island recently not only because of her dancing but because of how clumsy she was outside of her dance. She had a habit of creating destruction around her. She doesn’t know why; she doesn’t try to destroy things! But it was what she was best at aside from ballet. Regardless, she had made her mark on Corona from day one and she hoped to continue in a more…graceful way.

|| Get to know BEATRICE BYRD who’s THIRTY-ONE years old and works as a JOB UP TO PLAYER in town. She is from COLORADO and is often times mistaken for EMMA STONE while others say she reminds them of BEATRICE from OVER THE GARDEN WALL. ||

Beatrice comes from a big family. She was a bit of a troublemaker when she was younger; she never was one to hold her tongue and she had a habit of pulling pranks and acting out to get attention since she was stuck somewhere in the middle with her siblings. One day she accidentally hit a bluebird with a rock, killing it on impact, and the consequences have haunted her. She didn’t tell her family about it. She didn’t tell anyone. But in her eyes she was a killer. Someone who caused pain instead of pleasure. As she grew older she let that guilt lead her. She made stupid choices, did stupid, things, and just continued to break her family’s heart. Then the day after graduating high school she left. To go on her own journey, to be less of a burden on her family.

First she traveled a bit. She saw some sights, made dumb choices there, got into trouble but never really settled. It wasn’t until Corona that she felt like she found somewhere she could find herself again. It was in Corona she met Wirt and his brother Greg. They were from the same place as her and even though she hardly knew of them from before, they became like a family to her now. Two brothers who reminded her nothing of her family but also reminded her of them every day. She was sure it was time to make things right, to maybe reach out to them again. But there was still so much doubt. In the meantime, she just takes it day by day, hoping she gets closer to finding herself.

|| Get to know CALEB “CUBBY” BROWN who’s TWENTY-TWO years old and a SENIOR in college majoring in ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE. He is from CORONA and is often times mistaken for RUDY PANKOW while others say he reminds them of CUBBY from PETER PAN. ||

Caleb - or Cubby as he’s better known by - is the most outgoing of The Lost Boys. The innocent personality and aura surrounding him often causes Cubby to stick out amongst his close friends, and it always has - setting him apart ever so slightly from the others. He never had trouble making friends, even before he met Peter and his gang, and still to this day he has the widest social circle of any of the boys. He gets along with almost everybody. The few exceptions being the nasty foster families he grew up with, though that wasn’t really his fault. He tried to please them all, but when nothing he did was ever right, he decided to join the lost boys for good and ran away along with the others.

Ever since leaving his foster home to join Peter and the Lost Boys, Cubby has romanticized the idea of being on his own. Always a fan of an adventure, despite his tendency to be a bit clumsy, he was quick to see the struggles of living on their own as just a big new adventure. It also helped that he’s quite the nature enthusiast and self-taught expert at surviving and thriving with the bare minimum. But over the years things got easier. The Lost Boys started a band with Cubby playing lead guitar. And now they have a huge following on the island, making a living off of their music. Cubby’s not quite sure if it’s what he wants to do forever, especially considering he’s in his last year of college and going to have a usable degree soon, but it pays the bills and keeps a roof over their heads so he’s not going to complain.

|| Get to know HIRO HAMADA who’s TWENTY years old and is a GRADUATE STUDENT studying ROBOTIC SCIENCE. He is from CORONA and is often times mistaken for RYAN POTTER while others say he reminds them of HIRO from BIG HERO 6. ||

Life hasn’t always been easy for Hiro. First he lost his parents when he was 3 and then his older brother when he was just a young teenager. But there was one thing that got him through it all - science. Whenever things got too tough or just too much for him, he dived into his experiments (and illegal bot fighting) and let the world around him disappear. Of course that wasn’t the healthiest of behaviors and once he started his undergraduate studies (at the age of 14, thanks to his early graduation from high school) he found a group of friends that helped him work through his issues in a better way. They were his older brother’s friends, but he found himself fitting in perfectly fine, even if it did hurt sometimes to spend so much time with them without Tadashi.

Now he’s halfway through his Robotics graduate studies and things are really looking up. He works part-time at his aunt’s Lucky Cat Cafe for some extra cash that he puts right into his experiments. Though with the rumors of superpowers roaming the island he’s started to get a little weary - fearing that not everyone who receives them will use them for good. So lately he’s been working on potential ways to give himself and his friends their own powers - but through science. He hasn’t told any of them yet, for fear that they’d make him stop, but he thinks he’s close to something genius.

|| Get to know HELEN PARR who’s FORTY-THREE years old and works as a GYMNASTICS COACH in town. She is from CORONA and is often times mistaken for CHRISTINA HENDRICKS while others say she reminds them of ELSTA GIRL from THE INCREDIBLES. ||

As a young girl, Helen was obsessed with gymnastics. She was one of the most flexible girls on the team and always dreamed of making it big. But like with most everyone else with those type of dreams, it never happened. Because taking her talents anywhere other than the island would be too dangerous. She couldn’t risk anyone finding out about what she could actually do. So when her long-time sweetheart proposed to her, she decided it was time to settle down and focus on the other dream she’s always had: having a family.

Now, her two oldest kids are out of the house and after having been a full time mom for the last twenty-some years, Helen realized it was time to figure out something new for her life. And what better way to do that than by bringing her first love back into her life? Gymnastics was her life for so long that it just felt natural picking it back up and becoming a coach for the local gym.

POWERS UPDATE: She was born with the ability to stretch out her body as if it were made of elastic.

Grenda has always been ahead of her time. She is a hard worker with simple needs; romance, her pet iguana, and wrestling. When she had those three things in her life she was complete and at peace. But unfortunately she hardly ever got to feel peace. Being ahead of the curve had its ups and downs, and she was bullied a bit for being more mature than the other girls her age.  It was hard, but being a social outcast was what brought her to Candy and she was always going to be grateful for that. Candy was her best friend, her it girl, and together they talked about teenage angst, boys, and iguanas until the sun came up the next morning. As fun as they were though they hardly let themselves have it so college could be a guarantee and not a fantasy, but once they were both accepted they decided to wait a year before going. One whole year dedicated to living their best lives and then back to school.

The karaoke nights, fights, and romances of the ages made their skip year the best one yet. Grenda had loved and lost and she was ready to think about her future. Being a freshman while the rest of her friends were sophomores didn’t bug her one bit because she found her darling Mabel because of it. Mabel turned her duo with Candy into a trio and honestly it was hard to believe they had ever done anything without Mabel. Mabel completed them and they had be inseparable ever since. Every day was a little chaotic and intense, but Grenda liked things that way. To her, the future was looking more and more like fun with each new discovery and she couldn’t wait to love and find her wrestling buddy for life. She knew she was young but she didn’t care; she deserved a romance even more epic than her past ones and she was going to make sure she found one and that her friends each got their own as well.

|| Get to know GRACE “GLIMMER” MOON  who’s TWENTY years old and a JUNIOR in college majoring in UTP. She is from CALIFORNIA and is often times mistaken for COLINE PREHER while others say she reminds them of GLIMMER from SHE-RA AND THE PRINCESSES OF POWER. ||

Growing up Grace, or Glimmer as she dubbed herself, was always expected to behave a certain way. Her mother was a state senator and with that came the pressure to have a picturesque family, or as close to it as the Moon family could get. Glimmer was expected to behave, stay in line, and do exactly as she was told. Which, in her eyes wasn’t exactly fair. She hadn’t asked for her mother to get into politics - she hadn’t asked for her father to disappear when she was just a young girl, leaving the family under even more scrutiny. None of this was anything like the life she wanted. And because of that she acted out - sneaking out of the house every chance she could get to run and explore the woods that surrounded her. It wasn’t actually too bad compared to the way most teenagers rebel against their mothers, but to Glimmer it felt like she was taking control of her life for once. It was in those woods that she first met Bow and then later a runaway girl named Adora. The three became the best friend squad and were practically inseparable. Which is why it was a surprise to no one when they decided to leave together for Corona.

Actually, it was a surprise to one person - Glimmer’s mother. It was a fight to get Angella to agree, but after weeks of arguing she finally gave in - on the condition that she enroll in Corona University and keep out of trouble because even if she was living in a different country, she still represented the Moon family and had to stay away from any scandals. Agreeing to those terms, Glimmer packed a bag and has yet to look back. There are times when she misses her mother, of course, but with a whole new island to explore and a sense of freedom to do whatever she wants for the first time in her life, it’s hard to have too many regrets about the decision.

|| Get to know FERRIS SHORT who’s THIRTY years old and works as a JOB UP TO PLAYER in town. They are from CORONA and are often times mistaken for ROBERT SHEEHAN while others say they reminds them of FEAR from INSIDE OUT. ||

Worrying and stressing over every little thing in life has always come easy to Ferris. There were just so many terrifying things out there in the world and they had a tendency to focus on each and every one of them. It led to a rough childhood - Ferris was too afraid to even leave the house some days, and for all of elementary and middle school they were homeschooled for that exact reason. But when it came time for high school their therapist suggested trying public school, at least for their freshman year, and even though they were terrified of the mere thought of attending an actual high school, Ferris agreed. Which turned out to be one of the best decisions they ever could have made.

That school was where they met the closest people in their life - Angelo, Joy, Debby, and Diana. As the new kid most people just ignored Ferris, but not these four. Having shared a homeroom together as well as multiple other classes, the group got to know each other and slowly but surely became the best of friends. Though all completely different than one another, they somehow just work. Which baffles Ferris, but they know better than to look a gift horse in the mouth. Over the years, throughout college and now adulthood, the group has remained as close as ever. So much so that they’ve all lived in the same house together since their junior year of college. It’s provided a sense of comfort for Ferris - having his chosen family so close at any point in time - and with their support over the years they’ve slowly been coming out of their shell and working on overcoming the plethora of fears that seem to weigh them down. So much so that when two newcomers joined their little group, Riley and Billy, Ferris was only too nervous about it for the first month before fully coming around to their new roommates.

|| Get to know EVELYN EEYORE who’s TWENTY-ONE years old and a SOPHOMORE in college majoring in UP TO PLAYER. She is from CORONA and is often times mistaken for NATALIA DYER while others say she reminds them of EEYORE from WINNIE THE POOH. ||

All of her life, Evelyn has felt like she lived under a constant rain cloud. There was just something cold and gloomful inside her bones that she’d never been able to fully shake. But that’s not to say she had a bad life. In fact, that was quite the opposite - Evelyn has an amazing group of friends she’d made as a child that stuck with her through everything and a family that loved and doted on her as well. There was also just a sadness that constantly lived within her - one that nothing, not even her loved ones, could remove. Evelyn has carried around this heaviness of so long that it hardly even bothers her anymore. Over the years she’s come to accept and even appreciate the fact that she’s simply a bit gloomier than most.

Of course, she still works on herself to ensure the sadness doesn’t ever take over her whole life. Evelyn has been seeing a therapist for years, since her parents first noticed the way she always seemed a bit down no matter what she was doing, and she’s learned plenty of helpful tricks to keep herself from faking too deep into the depression that followed her around. She makes sure to still always be there for her friends, and is beginning to branch out even more so now that she’s in college. The gages reopening have brought new people and opportunities to the island, and Evelyn is ready to make the most of them. It’s actually one of the first times she’s genuinely felt excited for change to occur in her life.
