I was thinking of a pride art challenge people could do with their OCs, because I thought it'd be cute! A queer/trans artist with their creations.

but then I realised that same challenge would be infinitely more funny with folks who have atypical or horror OCs

Another cringefail for my collection I grew up on lots of old WB and Fleischer cartoons, but realized I'd never watched the original run of Mickey Mouse, which I have now remedied. Doodled a bunch while doing so.

"Blackout"

Under the big blue moon, I sit. We drift and we drive into the unknown. The comfortable unknown. I'm not alone. I have you both by my side. My friends, who I love dearly. My family, who I've found in this darkness.

I've never wanted anything more than this. This is perfect. I am content. The sky is burning. It's ashy out there. But in here it's beautiful. It's wide. It's cerulean serenity.

I don't know what's ahead, but it's alright this way. I can face it. Your music lulls me into peace. Songs we'll listen to for hours later on, when we want to fondly look back. I know I will.

I want to remember this moment forever. ------ January 19, 2025 Extra commentary:

There is music that accompanies this memory. Blackout - Muse. When I feel sentimental or want to recall, I put it on again. It couldn't have felt more perfect to be in the car in that instance. The pictures are actual photos I took in the moment, trying to capture the sights around me, but of course when you're in a moving car, you can't catch it. I hold onto the images though, because they still give exactly what I wanted them to. And even though they're messy, they're still beautiful. Thank you California. The bittersweet feeling of knowing it's all almost over, but you're having the time of your life really started to set in... I'll see the both of them again soon enough but I miss them so much already.
