Even though he’s expecting it, the knock on the door almost causes him to knock a bowl off the counter. It’s been a few months since they got together and yet, somehow, Will can still make him nervous. Nervous like that first night before training, or the night before he started his first shift as a cop. He hates and loves how much he’s still affected by the other.
He dives to save the bowl, catching it right before it hits the floor and puts it gently back on the counter. Glancing into the small mirror by the from door, he smooths down his hair and takes a deep breath before opening the door. A shy smile appears on his face when he sees Will, as usual, and a light blush creeps onto his cheeks. “Hi, glad you could make it.”
Like every other time he sees the cute copper, Will has to bite back a completely undignified and goofy smile when he answers the door. Really, it shouldn't be possible that he can find another man as adorable as he finds Tyler. He would have thought that the effect would have worn off somewhat after so many months, but the feeling of butterflies in his stomach never fails.
"Hi, Tyler," he can't fight back his own slight blush in return, smiling shyly. "I'm glad I could as well, sorry for arriving so late." Never quite sure what to do in these kinds of situations, Will almost extends his hand to shake, but decides against it and instead steps forward, opening his arms in an awkward invitation for a hug.
