FAMILY HISTORY. Those born into the House of Ward are raised with the understanding that the nation was built with Ward Steel—from east to west on flat-bottomed steel rail, and heavenward in Manhattan's ever-growing reach. And much later Night City. Ward Steel made a pivot into automotives throughout the mid-1900s before, under the mandate of the freshly coronated Martin Ward, it was succeeded by the Ward Institute for Technology and its spin-off Ward Robotics in a collaborative endeavor with Militech.

CORPO HISTORY. Allison began as a dutiful cog in the ever-turning corporate machine of Ward Robotics. She defected to their biggest competitor, Vosscorp, trading their latest project for the title of chief of robotics, after she was passed over for Connor, citing her age and past transgressions—an expunged record, an illegitimate child, rumored ties with notable fixers in the area—as heir-apparent of the empire.

' relax. ' @graveflwers put his hand on hers—gently, because he didn’t think she’d shoot him but hey, accidents happened. especially in failed relationships. he pushed the barrel slowly toward the ground.

relax. maybe it was her inner megalomaniac—the "more. more. more!" cry of the very same voice that'd entangled her in the orbit of night city's more inappropriate bachelor in the first place—or maybe the adage about the hard death of a first love was as true as the songs say, but she felt her hand tighten. her muscles tense to resist the careful push of his hand. before the release. a long-held exhale she refurbished as a sigh, rolling her eyes in an overcooked performance of irritation.

"wow," she says, tugging the syllable in two neat halves. "the romance really does die after the ring, huh." and she hadn't even taken it. she reholsters the gun. walks past him, if only to put back some distance between them, in a show of taking in her surroundings. who needed dinner or roses when there were rat-infested warehouses in which to rendezvous?

"what's next, a sunset picnic on the shores of arasaka's chemical dump for our anniversary?" the rockwells of the modern era. it was enough to put her dad six feet under.

highly skilled robotics engineer. very well-acquainted with market trends. she has, however, repeatedly shot herself in the foot with her impulses and is pretty well-known within the corporate world for her historically awful sense of loyalty—namely her betrayal of her own family, but also of the scandal manufactured by vosscorp after their failed assassination attempt.

some time after said assassination attempt and a somewhat violent eviction from the corporate world, allison finds work fixing/refurbishing robots and, significantly later, co-owns an underground [robotics] ring.

youngest of three with a thirteen year gap. she is most similar to her older brother, connor, who shared her in her ambitions while jeffrey did all he could to distance himself from the ward name.

morally pretty grey. allison values her personal comfort, and that of her son, above everything else and she has no qualms with harming others to secure it.

that cutthroat mentality extends beyond the professional and into the personal; she is deathly afraid of being betrayed.
