What was good about today?

My mum came to visit me and my brother in Switzerland. It might be the last time that she will come over, due to her health. We had precious moments and made everlasting memories together.

Get the churches to become involved in Peace & Reconciliation- how’s that for a challenge!! Perhaps circulate all churches with a list of things they could do of a simple easy nature. Perhaps present them with a programme at Corrymeela in which they could participate.

Agree on how we deal with the past; with parades and with flags. Maybe if we all acknowledged our own sectarianism and that the best any of us can be is in recovery- a journey of a lifetime- we might, as Micah suggests, “walk humbly” (6 V 8).

Pay everyone the living wage.

Have pet robots.

Have the funding to meet everyone’s emotional needs!

Create an effective, relevant programme for young people which gives them a safe space and opportunity to have challenging conversations and debates. A programme which respects experiences communities and cultures of all those involved and makes a positive impact on participants to discuss real issues which are relevant to young people and have actual influence on their lives. Perhaps a possible relevant international exchange.

I met with friends at a church lunch club in Scotland. I like the togetherness of it.

BY 2020, WHAT IF WE COULD... -Do all we can to get rid of food banks from Britain forever and to assist all peoples in developing countries to have a much better and satisfying standard of living.

Remember an old Christian saying:

Live simply so that others may simply live...be less greedy- individuals, businesses, governments...spend less on war/arms...count to 10 - or even50 - before retaliating to a comment/action that has upset us.

Somehow get a sensible working government at Stormont. I have seen younger people turned off by politics because of all the petty squabbling that goes on and on. I would be wonderful if those in public office could learn to speak English correctly. Don’t you?
