“Of course it is,” she plucked out a playful snort, “it was my go-to comfort food back there. Works really well when you’re having a sour ass mood.” She picked up her own plate and started drifting her spoon around - absentmindedly creating lithe ripples. Truth be told, she wasn’t certain if she’d managed to reassure him or not, Cory was pretty difficult to read sometimes, but at least the tone didn’t seem as heavy as it had been earlier. “I touched a panda while I was in China, pretty cool stuff.” She figured a lighter topic would do them good.
“Were they nice and fluffy? I’m jealous.” Cory smiled, enjoying the soup. This felt good, and this is what friends were like together. “I touch wombats all the time when I was home. They can be vicious though, so not as cute as a panda.”
