I’m still alive! I haven’t really posted anything in a while because some stuff happened and my sewing machine broke recently (RIP), but since there’s a con (Dokomi) coming up in two months I’ll probably be posting some progress as soon as my new sewing machine is here!

In the meantime, here’s a picture of @shinetalia and me as Vriska and Terezi from Homestuck. It’s a few months old already, I really don’t know why I never posted any pictures of my Terezi cosplay here thb.

I was looking at your gorgeous fem!gabriel cosplay and was wonder how you made you wings? Are there any tutorials you followed? I love it so much I don't think you understand how beautiful it is.

First, thanks a lot for your message, this really means a lot to me ;w;

For my wings I started by bending a pretty sturdy wire in the general shape I wanted. Then I covered that with some light gold organza fabric and glued the feathers individually onto the fabric.

This is what one of the wings looked like while I was making them. At this stage I had actually covered them with a wire mesh, but I ended up switching that for the fabric because it was a lot smoother and easier to glue the feathers on.

I wasn’t really following any tutorials if I recall correctly.. I guess you could say I was winging it :^) (sorry, I had to)

Then I did that six times and ended up with some massive Gabriel wings - totally worth it.

I just finished modifying the jacket so I can wear the harness underneath. So I thought I might as well take a quick photo to show you just how huge these wings really are on me also I like wearing them and wish I could wear them all the time.

More WIP for Gabriel’s wings! I finished the other 3 wings and the harness (with some help). The way they fit into the harness still needs some fine tuning, but other than that I’m really happy with how they turned out!

WIP time! I’m currently working on my Gabriel cosplay and finished half of my wings the other day (before running out of hot glue). 3 done, 3 more to go! They’re pretty fluffy because I used ostrich feathers and they’re also pretty large. The big ones are 80cm long, or 31.5″. They’ll be super fabulous (hopefully).
