patrick was stressed enough trying to handle the rossis, not to mention the fact that he also had the shop to run. it was no good as a front if it went belly up at least. hearing footsteps from the garage, he let out a sigh and got up from the chair in his office, soon making his way into the next room. “god. what’ve you broken this time?”

“Sorry yeah I em. I’m actually a bit lost, probably obvious but I’m new to town. I was looking for the library?” Rose had been doing her best to slip under the radar following her move to Costello but she clearly had a lost look on her face as she stood in the middle of the main street.

meena had arranged and then rearranged her classroom what felt like a hundred times but in reality it was probably around four. she decided to leave it as it was and head out for the day, she didn’t feel like going home yet so she decided to go for a walk around the park. she was walking at a relatively slow pace when she watched something fall from the pocket of the person in front of her. ‘hey, hey,’ she jogged slightly to keep up. ‘you dropped this back there.’

sophie had just received a letter to say that her divorce was now completely finalised and she was free. she needed to get groceries anyway so decided to get a bottle of wine to celebrate her new found single freedom. she got aria situated in her sling as they walked around the supermarket, it was strange getting used to a new place again. aria became restless around halfway round the store and the panic in sophie rose. ‘hey bubs, it’s okay, come on…just a few more things and we’ll go home.’ talking to such a small baby obviously did nothing so sophie stopped where she was and bounced the little one for a moment. ‘come on darling, it’s okay. momma’s got you.’ she feared that she’d have to abandon her groceries if she pushed it any further so she headed for the checkouts. she waited in line, embarrassed to say the least as aria continued to wail. ‘sorry.’ she mumbled to the person in front of her. ‘she’s usually not this loud.’

“Oi! Neutral ground means neutral ground. If you want to fight go outside.” Bonnie took pride that her diner was one of the places in Costello that all were welcome. She watched carefully whilst the two young people who were close to fighting sat down before giving a small huff and turning away. “Sorry ‘bout that. What were you saying?”

“Pity, but when you’re on water, you’re on water. Thems the rules.” Zoe spoke gently, as if speaking to her toddler or one of his friends before placing another glass of water in front of the patron. Whilst she was Alex’s PA it wasn’t abnormal for Zoe to work the bar now and then. 

“What can I getcha?” She asked the next person waiting at the bar.

Joanna was never one to shy away from life at Costello. She knew the rougher areas of town, knew that sometimes it wasn’t the safest place to life. But it was where she had grown up, where she’d raised Jack and Farren and where she was determined to stick around and raise Hope. That being said she’d taken one of her first solo walks to one of the safer public parks and sat on the bench gently rocking the baby in the pram. She gave a small smile as she looked up, hearing footsteps come towards her.

“I’m still kind of new to this whole vaping thing.” Archer started, lifting the vape from his pocket as he examined it, still honestly unsure of how he even managed to be talked into picking it up when cigarettes has always been his choice, but, he honestly couldn’t say he hated it. As he inhaled, looking around the shop he exhaled, shrugging slightly. “This flavor is some sort of baked good, I think and it really isn’t my favorite. What would you recommend for a change?”

Working out had never been something that Milo had enjoyed growing up - not with two competitive brothers in the house as well - but he’d always done more than his fair share of doing so to maintain a healthy lifestyle. It was never anything excessive - lifting weights, running daily, drinking plenty of water - small things, but it was all things that mattered to him and also helped him realize exactly what was important. So today, as he sat at the gym lifting weights, looking for a reason to up the weight on the bar. He looked around, finding someone on the far side of the gym who was also alone, and he approached them. “Spot me?” he asked, pointing towards the weights. “I’d really appreciate it.”

He’s sitting at a picnic table in the park, one hand curled through his own hair as he rests his head in his hands drawing up schematics. There’s a cat lounging on the table just in front of his notebook. There was a period of weeks a while ago when he had first noticed it watching him, to the point that he started to leave it food as it inched closer and closer to the table with every other visit. Until one day it was following him home altogether. It’s still not his, persay. She comes and goes as she pleases, but there’s a fifty fifty chance at this point one might catch the cat following Tim around town. The park was almost always a guarantee.

Tim sighs, his head not cooperating with him at all as far as work is concerned. He sets the pencil down on the page of his half finished work before reaching out to scratch the cat, smiling softly as it purrs. That is until someone else comes over to the bench and sits at the opposite end and instead of skittering off, the cat crawls into Tim’s lap. He kisses it a few times on the head, scratching just under its chin before he looks over at the person. “If you’re wanting to pet her, you’re going to have to ask her, not me. She’s the one calling all the shots here.” Tim smiles as he continues to pet the cat.

‘ i’m fine , i just need two minutes alone and then i’ll pull myself together . ’ it had been a hard day , a hard couple of weeks in fact and camila was feeling it . she hated lakeview so far and was regretting every choice she had made that had brought her here .

nadia  brushed  her  hair  out  of  her  face  ,  she  pointed  the  camera  toward  the  people  who  were  posed  for  her  and  she  smiled  giving  them  a  cheerful  thumbs  up  .   nadia  finished  up  and  headed  over  to  bonnie’s  diner  to  grab  some  food  before  she  headed  home  to  her  husband .  on  her  way  out  she  passed  by  someone  a  little  too  close  and  knocked  the  leftovers  from  her  hand .  ‘ shit .  are  you  okay ? ’

Joanna had gotten well used to dizziness over the last few months, but even into her second trimester she’d been continuing to struggle with it. She gave a small huff as she’d stood up too fast and paused for a moment before giving a small smile. “Sorry I missed that, what did you say?”

“Oh! Oh Rajan no darling you need to look where you’re going!” Zoe could swear she’d only taken her eyes off of the little boy for just a moment as they walked in the park but that seemed to be enough time for him to go barrelling into someone walking the other way. She quickly rushed to close the gap kneeling to make sure Rajan was okay before turning to the other. “I’m so sorry, he didn’t hurt you did he? I know he’s quite a force once he gets a speed going.”

robin had a favourite booth, and although it wasn’t the end of the world when they ate in a different one, the day was always so much better when robin got to sit in ‘her booth’ or ‘myboove’ as she said. so when robin spotted someone in it, and robin had grumbled, she’d decided to see if the current asleep occupant still actually wanted or needed the booth. she walked over, robin on her hips.

“excuse me,” she uttered. there was no answer. “buddy,” she spoke, leaning forward to tap their shoulder.  the person stirred and spoke. “sorry to disturb you, but i have a very particular little person right here who happens to love this booth–” she said. “robin here would love to sit in her favourite booth for dinner,” she added. robin nodded with verve. “myboove,” she told them. lana found a smile crack on her lips. “so uh, are you finished? or would you mind a little guest who will babble whilst she eats mac and cheese with bacon bits?”

robin squeeled at her favourite meal.

hearing  about  another  attack  had  erin ,  for  lack  of  better  phrasing ,  shitting  herself  and  she  was  a  complete  nervous  wreck . this  was  made  obvious  by  the  way  she  jumped  when  someone  approached  her .  ‘  i  don’t  have  anything  valuable  on  me  ,  please  leave  me  alone  .  ’  when  she  turned  to  see  she  was  not  in  fact  face  to  face  with  a  mugger  or  murderer ,  she  felt  silly .  ‘  sorry ,  little  anxious  if  you  couldn’t  tell  ,  i  guess  that’s  what  losing  a  child  does  to  you. ’

matilda  was  working  behind  the  bar  as  usual  and  someone  had  just  tipped  her  a  crisp  hundred  dollar  bill  so  she  was  excited .  she  danced  around  a  little  and  beamed  as  someone  approached  her  looking  less  happy .  ‘ come  on ,  turn  that  frown  upside  down .’  she  was  annoying  as  heck  and  she  knew  it .  ‘ can’t  be  that  bad  unless  of  course  it  is  then  i’m  sorry . ’
