3 mile run because I woke up feeling crappy. I know that sentence doesn’t make sense to me either but there it is.

Competed my first Spartan Sprint yesterday!
Bruises are much worse today of course but the swelling in my knee is down. Yay!
I have more of an appreciation for the team aspect of GORUCK events. I did more obstacles than I thought I was capable of but it was due to the support of my fiancé--both physical and mental--that got me through.
But hey I just learned about Hurricane Heats. Sounds like a middle ground of the two? Haha great. Now even more events I want to do...
And then there’s us tonight! Workout buddy FTW again! Even managed to motivate a friend on the other coast when he saw it was after 10pm and we were getting a run in!

Yesterday was a NTC boxer workout. Today was another 2 miles down 20lb ruck. Keeping it going!

Today was day 7 in a row of getting 30+ min workouts in!
Stayed up coding all night then had a client call in the morning so I figured why not just stay up a little longer. Ooh yeah I’m feeling the tiredness and hurt today but I got a nap and won’t let my exhaustion stop me from getting my ruck on :)
This workout almost didn’t happen. I’m feeling the pressure to work (both business and home) and basic things of taking care of myself (like eating, showering, sleeping, etc.) feel like they shouldn’t take priority.
Today, I acknowledged that isn’t right and that it IS important to take care of ourselves. I was being a grumpy dinosaur to my loved ones and that’s not cool.
Also, it helps to have a friend who shares their ups and downs too. Someone who you’re proud of and inspires you to be better ...even when you really don’t want to! Cheers to the fellow wombats out there!
(Yes, I meant wombats #insidejokes)
Ooh forgot to mention that my new GORUCK simple shorts were fantastic for this run (unlike my headphones). They're super short so I was worried my phone would fall out but my keys and phone were safe in my pockets the whole run! I'll have to get a pic of them tomorrow 😄
