Every Big Hero 6: The Series Episode

Finale

After a bit, I have finally watched the series finale. Here are my thoughts on it.

   It was fine? I liked “Krei-oke Night” more than “The Mascot Upshot”. The whole scene with Granville singing was perfection. I’m still disappointed how much they changed in Season 3, along with how much was unresolved (such as Sirque’s whole plotline). Overall, it is disappointing to see the series go out, but at least it wasn’t a complete disaster. 

   For now, the blog will probably go on an indefinite hiatus for the time being. I have no real desire to do a countdown thing like this again, which is fine. It feels nice to have done something like this though. Feels accomplishing. I still will miss both the series and this blog, but I would like to thank everyone who has followed me and been here. :)    I do have a main blog at @alonsotigerheart, so if you do want to see more of what I do currently you can follow me there. Overall, this was an experience I will never forget.

“Krei-oke Night/The Mascot Upshot” airs today.

+ Or it aired today, since I’m late on posting this due to me forgetting to queue the post. But anyway, this functions as the last episode of the series as a whole, and as disappointing as this season did feel, I would like to agree with someone else on the sentiment of being glad that there even was a series to begin with. I have a lot of emotions towards the series, and I am disappointed to see it go. I will probably post one more post to say my opinions on the series finale, but after that I might not continue with this blog anymore. Personally, I don’t know where to go with it as for now I have been busy with schoolwork amongst other things, plus switching from this fandom to another feels a bit daunting. But otherwise, I am glad to have been on this ride for the past few years. This has been an unforgettable experience.

“The MiSFIT/Return to Sycorax” airs today.

+ 7 Days till “A French Apprentice/Noodle Burger Ploy”

+ So it was officially confirmed Season 3 will be the last for Big Hero 6: The Series. I can only hope the finale is something worth watching. It was fun while it lasted, though. I will also only be updating the countdown on days of release instead of everyday, as I’m still super busy at the moment.

Hey, it’s me!

   Apparently the season finale might be quickly approaching us (if we take that Twitter post for genuine information) and sadly, we may not get a Season 4. I’m unsure, though, as there’s no genuine confirmation. I would like to say that if this is truly the end of Big Hero 6: The Series, it was a nice run. Hosting this blog for a couple years, albeit seemingly repetitive, it has been nice just... doing this. I might continue the countdown for the final episodes, but I’m still quite busy at the moment so it’ll probably be more laidback than it was during Seasons 1/2/pre-3.

   I would like to say though, I am quite disappointed to see the show go out like this; where the episodes have been reduced to mere comedy. It’s sad for me, seeing a show with such intriguing and grand storylines diminished to this. It feels like wasted potential, even if I don’t truly know what else could have occurred for the show. I just hope that if a Season 4 is to occur that this isn’t a permanent path.

   Finally, I’m unsure where I plan to go with this blog after the season completes. I have only planned for running this blog as a BH6:TS countdown, but I don’t know. Maybe I’ll branch out to other shows, maybe I’ll keep the blog up for “archival” purposes. I’m unsure really.

An Explanation

I believe it's time I explain my sudden disappearance and why the countdown stopped at such an awkward time. For roughly the past 2 or so years I have been running this blog for a bit solely because I somewhat enjoyed doing a silly little countdown for a show I was passionate about. Heck, I made this blog solely because of my fixation for Big Hero 6. But at the moment life has taken a tumble for me, and not because of the normal "I've been busy with school," or "Life is just really hard." Because even though both are true for me, the real reason I stopped abruptly is linked to two things.

1. How I access this blog. When I first set this blog up, I set it up before I knew side-blogs were a thing. As such, this blog is actually an alternative account in a way, meaning I have to log out my main and log back in here. It's annoying to deal with, even with the queueing system.

2. Lack of motivation is also a major factor. My fixation for Big Hero 6 has diminished. It's not that I don't enjoy it, it's just that I'm just not as interested in it as I was before. I'm going to be honest here and say I'm not really into the direction Season 3 is going, and they basically ruined Hardlight and Sirque by having them get incarcerated even though it felt like they clearly were going to have more to them. This is really the largest gripe I have with it, although the 3rd Season can be fun and enjoyable at times, considering I rather like the introduction of Cobra. Plus Supersonic Stu is a nice character, he and Sue kind of fill that void that High Voltage left. But overall, Season 3 is lacking and doesn't give me that motivational drive to continue this countdown that Seasons 1 and 2 had.

To make this clear, I am not ending the countdown. I just lack motivation to do so, but that doesn't mean that motivation won't come back. Provided Season 3 goes in an interesting way and heck, on the chance a Season 4 gets confirmed, I probably might get back into running this blog. But right now is not that time. I thank all my followers to being with me for these 2 years though, and I do hope that once I regain my motivation I may continue to do this.
