☀ // A LOOMING CLOUD OF UNCERTAINTY had followed her around since the start of the day, & zelda couldn’t quite put a finger on the source. perhaps it was the lecture she received from her father prior to today’s endeavor; one that reminded her of the fact that she, along with her people and friends, were preparing for an inevitable fate that could rear it’s ugly head at any given time – & she’d yet to learn her part in how to stop it ( maybe it was just that fact alone that plagued her head ). despite this, there was one thing she found was becoming more and more truthful by the day: she wasn’t alone; in this fight, or the ones inside her head. her trust was definitely a work in progress when it came to others taking charge ( she could thank the king for that, “ if you want something done right, you’ve to do it yourself ! ” ringing in her ears at the thought ); however there are some things that just work better with a second pair of eyes, even if the eyes in question belonged to someone you had a hard time coming to terms with. communication was a vital key, always. & yet she found herself hiding her truth.
‘ i don’t think i slept very well last night, is all. bad dreams. ’ not a complete lie. the blonde reached for the cheese, breaking off a few pieces before returning it with another small smile; this one more natural than the last. ‘ i… do appreciate your concern, though. ’
“ I see.” He wasn’t entirely sure what to say; its not as though he and the princess had the closest relationship, despite their roles in the kingdom. However, he has noticed the tension rising in her shoulders of late on this journey, no doubt her mind running through hundreds of ideas and possibilities. Still, that smile was a welcome thing to see and he nods back in her direction, a quiet smile of his own. “Its no problem, really.”
He stands, beginning to stretch and loosen muscles that had been far too stiff today, but before he moves to the side, he pauses mid step and turns back toward her. “You know, when I had bad dreams at night, my dad would always make me some hot tea -- perhaps that would help?”
