i have been a bit wubbish with blogmas this year, but it’s nice to record what i’ve been doing for a whole month. i had a really nice lead up to xmas and a lovely xmas eve/day and boxing day. lots of love to everyone xxxxxxxxxxxx

last day at work, pretty quiet and uneventful really! just did bits and pieces. only me and two other people in today. went to brick lane after work and bought these witchy moon earrings. made dinner and watched fleabag/had sum beerz with my flatmate Sally then went to beddybies early so I could get up at a reasonable hour to pack for going homeeeee.

got up early and went for a run. I've not been running for two months because I've been preoccupied with moving house then Christmas shit. but it felt so good to run again and when I go back to London next year I want to go back to doing at least one a week and hopefully do a 10K at some point after bailing on doing the one I was meant to do in September because i’m a lazy bitch. then I hung out with Sally and we went for a wander around Chatsworth road before we both got ready to go home for xmas. got the train back to Edinburgh at four o’clock, surprisingly not a crazy busy train. I finished Aziz Ansari’s book on the train which I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! got back to bonny Scotland at 8:30, met @azalea--town and popped in to see some old cecilian pals at Ronan’s house which was lovely! very nice start to the xmas hols!! xoxo

had a really fun day at work today. our education manager wanted to try out some of the activities she does with the children that come in for schools sessions. so some people from NLA came over and we built bridges out of bits of straws and sellotape. then we had to design and built santa a new ‘co-working space’ grotto and my team won :))) it was fun fannying about with bits of cardboard and paper and tinsel. then jess came to meet me from work and we scooted about on her new scooter for bit (why was this literally like a day in the life of a ten year old). she came back to mine for tea and we had a really nice chat and ate pizza and lay in bed.

it was our work christmas lunch today in the guildhall (see above). something like 800 people from the corporation of london were chowing down on their turkey together. i’m in a tiny office so it’s nice to feel part of something bigger. it’s such a nice hall, very hogwartsy. so much table wine was consumed, everyone was steaming by about 3pm. we swapped our work secret santa presents and went to the pub after the lunch and i was home and in my bed by 8pm. day drinking does not agree with me. zzz

everyone was either not in the office today, or very hungover. i made it in on time, did some social media stuff and planned what i need to do tomorrow before going home for a week. then i went out and bought £25 worth of sushi and had a feast of a lunch with letizia and deborah. really have mentally checked out of work now. going to do some sewing and watch tv and read some more of this aziz ansari book and have a v early night. last day at work tomorrow wooohooo!

blogmas day 18

the panto last night was bloody brilliant! i met katie, lydia and jess at leicester sq (hellish amount of tourists) and got a quick drink before heading to the theatre. it was so camp and filthy and jess’s gf rae smashed it!

today i met rachel for brunch in covent garden and we wrote our goals for 2017, put them in a bottle and chucked it in the thames. we did this last year and i think i achieved a lot of those goals so thanks universe give me the balls do the same this year plz. then i walked to southwark to go to sam and susie’s but i am a twat and didn’t charge my phone so i had to head home because they didn’t hear the door and i couldnt call. made a nice wee thai green curry and did some sewing. having a very early night because i have pickled my insides.

really excited about going home on friday and seeing my fam!!

sorry, missed a bunch of days! been busy with xmas ptays and the like 

blogmas day 14 

run of the mill day of work, did a lot of cleaning/sorting out because there aren’t any events on at the moment. met naomi and jay jay in soho for a drink. we were supposed to go see school of rock (the musical of the classic 10/10 jack black movie) but they over subscribed the comp tickets so we got pho instead yum yum. stopped off in islington to see naomi’s pal anna and then went to my beddybies not too late.

blogmas day 15

had a meeting about the upcoming exhibition at my work in the morning. then the rest of the day was spent organising my work’s crimbo drinks. made mulled wine and got through a lot of prosecco with letizia and oksana and some of the volunteers *+*+* felt very festive *+*+*

blogmas day 16

hungoverrrrr, so spent a lot of time at work doing quizzes on sporcle. met jai at his office for a catch up and some fish and chips. his office is amazing and i’m well jelly. went to the company that helps run the city centre’s christmas party and it was an open bar and urhghghghghghghg. chatted to some nice ppl and ate lots of canapes. came home and was sick everywhere mmmm keeping it classy

exceptionally hungover today. i don’t want to drink ever again. very quiet at work just now, need to do social media stuff but first i need irn bru!! going to see rae’s panto with jess tonight, very excited!!!!! *+*+*+*

blogmas day 12

ho ho horribly anxious today. met rachel for a quick coffee in waterstones because i was looking for a present for my secret santa work person and the guy that sold me the book was cute as. rachel had to ruin it by writing my number on a bit of paper with a super cringe message and leaving it for him to find like something out of a teenage romance book (see: girls in love, see also: angus, thongs and full frontal snogging). i met my dad for lunch in china town and had some nice summer rolls and pho and a wee chat about the fam and my grandparents. tried to get christmas presents but ended up just coming home and watching master of none which is my new favourite!!! still feeling a bit ill :((((((

blogmas day 13

hoorah took a half day and work today. it was very quiet so i left after lunch and went and did the xmas shopping i was supposed to do yesterday. pretty much sorted i think. walked from bank to covent garden to soho and got the train home from euston. it’s been seven months but i still sometimes forget i actually live here so it’s nice to go to the touristy bits sometimes. made dinner and i’m in bed with my hot water bottle watching more aziz ansari being a cutie. i need this evening of rest before all the xmas parties kick off and i pickle my poor lil’ liver with prosecco and mulled wine (a)
