Just my cat, doing what she does best...
Am I the only one already working on Christmas presents? 🎁
Scarfs, neck warmers and socks will be stacking under my family tree this year...
Long time, no see...
I don't know if anyone is still following this, but if you are... Welcome back! Grab a cup of tea/coffee/cocoa and let's talk fibres... 😉
Here is a glimpse of one of my wips: a Dear Jane I started - oh, about three years ago. As I will be leaving on vacation next week, I intend to make some progress with this quilt. ❤️
Winter is indeed coming around here... ❄️
My handmade wardrobe being sadly lacking warm and comfy sweaters (I'm more of a "loose tunics and flowy skirts" kind of girl) and me being a rather slow knitter, I turned once more to my faithful Marguerite, aka my sewing machine, for help in making a couple of jumpers. Here's the first one!
This pattern has been a staple in my wardrobe for years, although I have always used it to make sweatshirts until now.
I'm always a bit apprehensive when working with such knitty-knit stretchy fabrics but this poly-viscose blend worked like a charm: it didn't catch on my needle once, no wavy hems in sight, and it didn't even fray that much! 😊
Pattern: Camden, by Anne Kerdilès.

First snow of the season this morning. It was time for little Rudolf to don his pretty scarf and join all his friends to adorn the house for the coming holidays...
(I don't care if it's not december yet, Rudolf is going nowhere!)
(Antler for scale 😉)
I took a break from my patchwork today to make this triangle scarf out of two gorgeous Japanese cotton fabrics!!! 🥰
Of course, I HAD to rush into it and cut the bird one upside-down... Oh, well...
Sunshine, sewing, warm tea, and the scent of freshly baked cookies... The makings of a perfect afternoon. 🏡🍂🪡
Rudolf is patiently waiting for his ears, antlers and pretty red scarf... 🎄🧶❄️
Little Rudolf in progress! 🎄 (Sorry about the cat hair on the quilt, here's the culprit...)
First pair of socks finished this fall ! 🥰🧶🍂
Just finished the main part of my jumper ! Next step: the sleeves... 🧶☺️
Day after day, my quilt progresses slowly... 🪡
After counting my fabric squares (and cutting another dozen), I decided to settle for less blocks. The pattern I'm working on calls for 60 big "mountain" blocks based on 10 cm squares; but mine mesure 12,5 cm so I decided that 40 blocks plus borders should do the trick for a simple throw blanket. (And I've quite exhausted my fabric options within the color scheme anyway, so...)
I know this blog is about fiber arts, but couldn't resist the urge to share the result of my latest baking spree... 😋
Update on my little colorwork jumper... So happy with the regularity of my tension through the whole colorwork pattern! ☺️🧶
Foggy Friday = Sew-y Friday 🥰🪡
