Here are some scenes from Green County this year. Some things remain the same, some new players. Most notably cutting back on the tomato gang and adding in some purely ornamental flowers and such. Left to Right, Top to Bottom: - Sweet Potato Town, in two hanging baskets - One of two bags of Cherry Tomatoes - A fresh little sprig of Catnip from last year that survived outside over the winter just popped up. Resilience! Behind it is a bag with Greek and Italian oregano. I did not know there was a difference, but the Greek one looks short and wide with fuzzy leaves and Italian one is taller with smooth leaves. - PARSLEY TOWN. I have no idea what to do with it really other than make tabouleh. - Cilantro in the bottom front, and two Chili plants in the back.
- The rest of Chili town in the back, and a little pot of Alyssum in the front. - Strawberries on the stool, they came back on their own after surviving the winter outside. Below them is a bag of Basil and behind two unremarkable but full bags of Potato Town. Those will transform dramatically! - A hanging pot of Scaevola :)
Didn't bother getting pics of Chick Pea Town, they are in the ground and popping but only one has broken soil yet by 1/8 of an inch, will be sure to catch them next week. Green things growing feels like hope and happy times a-coming.
