what was the inspiration behind your oc? what was the first thing you decided about them?

[My character Fitz on my other blog always just felt like he needed more background. Henry and Pickering are so heavily based in their backstory, and while Fitz HAD a backstory, it didn’t really feel relevant to his current self very often, so I decided to put some of his backstory into a whole other person, who could be brought in and out as needed.]

[Jene was an attempt to fill out Henry’s connection to characters outside of my friends’ oc’s and his husbands. It felt like Henry needed something outside of the friends who he wants to fuck, and his partners.]

[Bo came from me just fucking CRAVING a new blorbo, plus I loooove just forcing my own lore onto my friends’ oc’s 🙃 /hj so I gave one my friends OCs a child. AGAIN :) the other is on my other acc @boyish-drinks :) ]

What is their love language?

🕰: Receiving, 100% it’s quality time. Jene could sit in the quiet with a loved one for hours and feel fully content. Giving, its gifts and acts of service. Jene has both earned and been given a large wealth, and he intends to share it at any and every turn.

💥: is fire a love language? I supposed in a way, that is also quality time? Going around, causing (mostly) harmless chaos with a loved one sounds like an ideal day for him. This goes for both giving and receiving.

🕯: Receiving, surprise surprise, it’s quality time - or maybe he is just receptive to all love languages. He’s not picky, as long as he can tell what you’re doing is with a caring intent. Giving is acts of service and physical touch, he’s a very attentive to detail and emotions of others.

when is their birthday? do they like celebrating it?

🕰: Jene’s birthday is July 29th - as for celebration? He would supposed he’s not against celebrating it, but it’s also not something he’ll feel terribly heartbroken about if it’s forgotten. He mostly celebrates - or even acknowledges his birthday, mainly because it’s expected of him. He has a good time, goes out for an expensive dinner, maybe indulges in something a bit more decedent than usual, but he could honestly forget to entirely, and probably has in the past.

💥: Mish’s birthday is November 17th - and he loves his birthday. Not because of much ego, or a joy in celebrating himself specifically - but he’ll take any excuse to let his inner problem child run wild, and November is the perfect time to do so. The frigid Gotham air needs warming up, and nothing can warm the shivering fingers like a car set ablaze in a junk yard, or chasing friends up mountains of tetanus. Even though the whole point of a birthday is that you get older, it always seems to bring Mish right back to 12 years old, lighting firecrackers in the skate park with Fitz and the others.

🕯: Bo’s birthday is August 22nd, and his birthday is definitely a day to look forward to. Bo is a social butterfly, almost to a fault, in that he almost has a hard time making time for all his different friend clusters, so his birthday, is his mind, is built around the goal of getting as many of his friends as possible in one place, and making it a good time for all of them, despite their diverse interests. He looks forward to the innocuous chaos every year.
