Sixers with a huge game tonight. After two losses where the team looked suspect at times they will be in the land against the king and his merry men. Speaking of the king LeBron James how about the billboard put asking LeBron to finish the process.lebron did not say no but did not say yes more like "that's dope". James has been destroying the sixers this year averaging 30 pts, 13 Reb,9ast. Sixers are getting a boost from the bench with clearing space for Ersan Ilyasova. Yes the ex Sixer is back and looking to help propel the Sixers into the playoffs. Trevor Booker was released.

Some of the dirtest players I can think off hand. I'll start with this duo. Most people do not realize that elbow that Malone used. He was well known for it. Bill Lamibeer lol this guy has a video game named after him enough said. Bruce Bowen tendency to slip his foot under a player who is shooting. Kevin Garnett who was a bigger trash talker then the big ticket. Dennis rodman the worm. One of best rebounders and defenders to strap up. Problem he don't care how he did it.

Sixers mid season grades... Ben Simmons - If you asked me hands down front runner for ROY. Simmons playing a position that is a the quarter back of basketball. 16 pts,7reb,7ast.Great two player. My knock on Simmons is his turnovers. He is getting a lot better at that. Also he seems passive at times. Overall A. Joel Embiid - well I assume the talk of him being soft is over. With a good all star experience. Joel has not disappointed at all. Showing he can stay healthy. When he is in the game his domaince is seen on both sides. His issue like Ben he tends to lose the ball especially when the double comes. You gotta love this guy as a fan he is just fun and great for basketball. Overall A. JJ Redick- Well he does what he is here for. He shoots very well and I believe he brings a veteran presence needed in the locker room. I feel a bit over paid but has done a great job. Overall A Dario Saric- Him getting the ball up top and letting him shoot or dribble has released a star player. His struggles early we're well known and he has done a great job making his play make a difference on this team. He is avg 14 points but considering his start to the season that is pretty good. Overall B+. T.j. McConnell- To me he is the glue who let's this team run. No flashy numbers but his never stop motor makes so many plays he does not get numbers for. One knock I wish he would take over more with the second unit. Grade A Robert Covington- this is a tough one. We have two sides to the season. I'll be the first who is not happy with him right now. Being a two way player is tough. I am gonna give him a better grade then I would want to. Overall B Jerryld Bayless- just does not fit this team. His play time is down. Overall D Timothe Lauwawu- Cabarrot- The hype was real on this guy but I knew his was not ready yet. He tends to shot and rush it. You can see flashes but that is where he is right now. Overall C. Amir Johnson- I feel like he is stealing time from Holmes. Amir is a veteran and I get it but I blame Brown on this . Amir has been playing better but not convinced. Overall C- Richaun Holmes- He gets on the court and brings presence when Embiid is out. He is the only one I have seen bring that presence. Raw and out of position at times but I am.ok with that. Let the kid play. Overall C+ Trevor booker- streaky to me. He is here cause they wanted Oakfor gone so bad. He shows moments. I do like his veteran presence he has though. Overall C+ Justin Anderson- a Philly favorite. If he can stay healthy he is great off the bench. He has a decent stroke and a high motor. Overall B- Markelle Fultz- Incomplete Marco Belinelli- very excited for this guy. I was probably one of the few from the gate. Only one game and he looked great. He proved quickly he is just a 3 point shooter. Overall Incomplete

Sixer fans if I told you last year at this time Joel Embiid would be playing in the all star game as a starter who would have believed me? Better yet who would have thought he would score 19 pts against elite players. I feel like the Sixers season in some ways has a million what if I told you comments. What if I told you Markelle Fultz the prized first pick would be shut down early in the season.? Or Simmons is on a tear for a rookie averaging 16pts,7reb,7ast. If I told you TJ McConnell is gonna be our sixth man what would our record be? Now back to today. The day after the all star game. The Sixers are in the 7th spot in the Eastern Conference and gaining steam. They are only two games out of the fourth spot. Dario Saric has become a beast himself avg 14 pts a game. The bench is playing alot better. Don't let me forget we just got Marco Belinelli as I said when it was first spoken of will open the court up. The Sixers are for real and you can see the confidence growing. This team will not be a easy out when the Playoffs hit. Let's be proud of the Sixers.

Sixers fans are not gonna wanna hear this. I believe or less something happens in last part of the season you are looking at co rookie of the years. Let me explain before people say no way. Ben Simmon has indeed had a amazing rookie year. Problem with this is technically he was red shirted. Not fair but has to be taken into account since that is a fact. Ben just notched his 6th triple double last night and only needs two more to surpass the great Magic Johnson. Of course Oscar hold the record and that is not changing. This year Simmons is averaging 16.4 pts, 7.8 Reb,7.3 ast. Donovan Mitchell was the 13th pick in the draft and this kid out of Louisville uas impressed. With hood gone and Hayward leaving in the off season who would have thought this team would even be challenging. Mitchell has the jazz streaking and it is mostly due to his play. Donovan is 19.6 pts. 3.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists. This being said he was not expected to be better then the guys drafted before him. With all this said honestly Ben Simmons should win but with that red shirt it hurts him badly. I can't see them snubbing either one of these rookies so at this point at the all star game we have Co rookie of the year players.

TImothy John McConnell Jr is a Professional Basketball player who plays for the Philadelphia Sixers. Being undrafted Philadelphia fans have embraced his will on the court and passion for the game. Tj McConnell grew up locally and played for Chartiers Valley in Pennsylvania. He averaged 34 pts,9.1ast,8.2 Reb. McConnell went to play college for Duquesne in 2010-12 where he was named Alantic 10 player of the year.In April of 2012 TJ transferred to Arizona. His career stats in college we're 10.2 pts,3.9reb,5.4ast. He was well known for his lockdown defense averaging 2.0 steals a game. There is no shock TJ being able to play basketball he has decades of family who have played including his aunt Suzie McConnell-Serio who won a gold medal in the Olympics and played in the WNBA. Kathy McConnell- Miller played in four NCAA tournaments with Virginia. They both went on to be coaches. Tj has Aunt and Uncle's from the 80s that also played. Tj McConnell went on to be undrafted and was signed by Sixers. This year TJ with Sixers he is averaging 7.4 pts,4.5ast. It's his tandancy that Sixers fans love. He comes up with clutch plays on both sides of the court. His spin move down the lane has become a move he victimizes defenses with. Tj continues to make strides and has become a nba baller and great team player.

So Sixers I am kinda questioning mangament as this point. With a deadline coming I have a hard time thinking there was not a good trade of any sorts. I feel that Byran Colangelo is living in what Sam Hinkie built and honestly I am not impressed. He signed Bayless to. a 9 million dollar contract and he is not worth any of that. He gave Covington a deal that should have waited. No one was gonna steal him. He traded Oakfor and statkus and a pick for Booker??. Not that I wanted them but that was awful. The list just goes on. We are probably lucky he did not pull the trigger cause honestly who wants another Bayless. Right now the Sixers sit in the 8th spot and as fan I simply have become uneasy. The Pistons are on our neck with the addition of Griffen. Also the Pistons are getting Jackson back soon. The Heat are above us in the 7th spot. Yesterday they brought back Wade which I feel brings a great veteran presence to a time who is well coached. So now we have the buy out period and free agency for Sixers. Mind you JJ will be a free agency this year. I just don't see any big names coming to Philly. Honestly we don't need a big name we need a supporting cast. We have Simmons,Embiid,Fultz when ready so honestly we need veterans who can blend with this team. I love the Sixers but mangament may wanna look at what the Eagles did. Take a chapter from them. They built a team and believed in themselves. Embiid and Simmons deserve a better team then what you have put out there. Hopefully we can make some noise with a buyout move cause if not you wasted the services of those two. Also JJ you gave him 23 million for us to slide by? Give the fans what they deserve. They have waited long enough by this summer if nothing has changed Colangelo may regret taking this job.

Ben Simmons the face of the Sixers. Joel Embiid the other face. Just watching the Sixers I have a theory. They actually hurt each other. With Simmons not having the best jump shot I don't think there is alot of space for Simmons to move. Last night the best run the Sixers had was when Embiid went out in the second quarter. Also you can see defenses sliding as soon as Simmons drives so a double immediately. I believe teams have figured out how to stop the big two of the Sixers. The supporting cast is not much help. Not saying I would trade one but more that we need a better pf. What does everyone else think?

Ben Simmons has been a phoneom in his rookie season with the Philadelphia Sixers. Being 6'10 and being able to finish with either hand makes it near impossible to stop him. Ben started playing basketball at the age of 7 in New Castle,North South Wales. He also as we can tell the benefits of his strength played rugby. He and his family moved to Florida. In Florida he played basketball for a high school called Montverde Academy. He averaged 28 points,11.9 rebounds,2.6 steals a game. Simmons seems to have a great support from his mother Julie and his father Dave. Bens family seems to have Sports built in them. His father Dave Simmons played for the Australian National Basketball team. His brother was a coach and his sister Emily was on the woman's rowing team for West Virginia. It's no wonder why Ben is so gifted at sports. Ben decided to take his skills to LSU for college. He played for LSU for one year and in 33 games he had 19.2 pts per game,11.8 Reb,4.8 ast his offensive rating per 100 possessions was 117.20. Please keep in mind Ben Simmons played Power forward all the way til he got drafted. In 2015 Simmons was listed as the number one power forward and number one player in the nation. In 2016 Ben Simmons was drafted by the Philadelphia Sixers. Simmons factured his foot on September 30th and was never cleared to play in the 2016 season. With this season halfway over in the 2017-18 season Ben Simmons has been everything Philadelphia hoped for. Just wrapping up his second rookie of the month Ben continues to get better every game. Ben is averaging 16.7 pts,7.8 Reb,7.3ast, 1.8 stl. Ben has shown to play both ways and his numbers continue to climb as he begins to become a young all-star in the NBA.

So I am really looking at Tyreke Evans before the deadline. He is on a very friendly deal of 3.3 million. Sixers have money to resign him or if it don't work out let him go. Evans,Simmons, Embiid sounds really good to me. I don't wanna give up a first but I hate to say it but maybe Saric for him. In 46 games this year tyreke is averaging almost 20 points plus 5 assists. He is shooting 39.2 behind the 3 point line. To me this is a no brainier but we will wait and see.

If last night's game with Sixers. I started to look back at why the Sixers let the #3 pick in 2015 for free. I know there was issues but this guy was a #3 pick. No he probably won't be a superstar but I believe he will be a good player. Amir Johnson who is the Sixers back up point guard has been ok. Not a huge fan. Last night Oakfor finally gets some minutes with Brooklyn and puts up 21 points in 24 minutes. Amir who I know is not a huge scorer had 5 in 18 minutes. We gave up statkus also and a #2 pick. Call me stupid but if Oakfor came off the bench with Embiid starting or if they needed to get big they could. They would match up against the west alot better. Just some thoughts I had when I woke up today. Glad Okafor is getting some minutes.

Ben Simmons so many have come forth with who Ben Simmons plays like. All great players and could make a agreement for. Ben Simmons has been living up to the hype when he was drafted by the Sixers. Locking up his fifth triple double of the year in his rookie year the other night tying the legendary Magic Johnson. Of course I don't see him catching Oscar. Speaking of Magic that is where people are laying there cards on who Ben Simmons reminds them of. Magic rookie stats- 36 minutes,18pts,2.4 steals,7.7 rebounds. Ben Simmons- 35 minutes,16.5pts,8reb,7.4 ast,1.8 steals. My guy that at this point is a Grant Hill. Hill would have been a top 50 player but injuries destroyed his career. Here are his rookie stats Grant Hill- 38 min,19.9 ast, 6.4 reb,1.8stl, 5 ast. I know Ben plays point but at this point his game play is more like Grant Hill. Either of those guys I would take and so would Sixers fans.

Sir Charles has to be of the best power forwards to lace up. Standing at 6'6 they say more like 6'4 Charles played against the best the game had to offer. Considering all that he still compiled over 20,000 points, 10,000 rebounds, 4,000 asissts. After a decent college career at Auburn Charles was drafted by the sixers. Most thought Barkley had no chance given him the name"Round Mound of Rebound". He proved them wrong immediately playing with the greats like Dr.J, Moses Malone. His rookie year he averaged 14 points and 8.6 rebounds. He earned his spot on the all rookie team. Who could not forget his acts that I still remember when he went after a fan for heckling him and he accidentally hit a girl. He later became friends with her and her family. Barkley played for the Sixers,Phoniex and Houston. During his awesome career he received many honors. NBA MVP 1993,All NBA first team 5x,11 time all-star. Of course top 50 player of all time and the hall of fame to top some his honors he received. Charles retired in 2000. His career ppg at 22.1 and 11.70 rebounds. Charles even thought about running for governor but changed his mind. Now you can see him on TNT as a anylist. You can still see his style of play even when talks. It's great to see a legend still being part of the game. Thanks Sir Charles.

All Stars have been picked and two NBA players have put the NBA on notice. Ben Simmons and Andre Drummond seemed to be a little bit more motivated last night. Ben Simmons stat line 19 points,17 board, 14 assists, and throw in two blocks. He now has his 5th triple double of the year. After Andre Drummond asked if he has to do backflips to get noticed he did everything last night but a backflip. Drummond stats 30 points,24 boards,6 blocks,4 assists,3 steals. Unlike Simmons and the sixers the Pistons dropped the game. Great game by both guys and I hope they continue to put the NBA on notice cause as a fan it was fun to watch.

Sixers trade that after a few days I like. No I don't wanna give up Fultz but I think this a good trade for the sixers. Sixers get Marvin Williams who is a stretch 4 opens the court. He is in a second year of a 4 year contract Kemba walker 21.7,5.8 ast,1.2 steals. He is only 27. Also shoot first not pass allows Simmons to play point/ forward. Hornets get Markelle Fultz I know sixers fans so no way but we have no idea if this can play. I think he will be good but how much more then Kemba? Trevor Booker I would actually miss him his hustle is what I love in him Amir Johnson I see flashes of good and bad. He just fouls ways to much to my liking. I'll be honest I don't know If Jordan would do it but 18-26 he might. I have seen other packages for Kemba from other teams and this one looks good.
