Originally I was gonna make a drawn out post about 2015, car stuff and life stuff, but I have so much to say and most of it isn’t relevant to a photoset of my car, so I figured it’d be better to keep things short and sweet.
A couple months back @90s-forever made this post about how important it is to take your car out for a drive and snap some photos of it once in a while. Lately I’ve been thinking about that post a lot. Being that I’ve been keeping the FC garaged almost two hours from where I live I’m starting to feel like I’m in a long distance relationship, only having time to go tinker and take it out once or twice a month. In turn I’ve realized I hardly ever take photos of it. Sure I might occasionally grab a couple on my phone, but for someone who tries to go out and shoot on a near daily basis I have hardly any decent pics of this thing. So the other day I set out to do exactly what Garrett said I should; I cleaned the RX7 up, tossed my gear in the passenger seat and headed out with no particular destination in mind. After about an hour of cruising around some back roads I hopped out at a park not too far from my house and started snapping away. The photos themselves aren’t really noteworthy - midday with no cpl in a random parking lot, certainly I’ve done better - yet I’m still satisfied with what I got. Sometimes it can be hard to see past the all the imperfections of your own car, but in the end I guess it’s not always about looking perfect. That being said I hope this post motivates a few more people to go out and do the same when they get a chance.
