So sadly our beloved band teacher Mr. White will be leaving us for another school, his replacement -- Mr. Dudley will be replacing him in 2014.

Darn but you know Mr. Dudley's planning to make senior band a morning class - I can barely wake up for choir though...

In other news, we're finally playing a pop song in band from the musical "Wicked". (Original cast member includes Indina Menzel! Oh my god Elsa!)

Anyway, Admin George and I are in the same class, one for sure that we know of.

We have band first thing in the morning!

Expect more weird tales, such as the memorable "4 hees" and bullying our very own "Terry".

(Oh by the way, my friends and I have made being a "Terry" an official term, for being a bad player... Both in League and in class.)

Admin George/Fargle's birthday

So I do this every year on her birthday to express my thankfulness and whatnot. 

Dear Admin George/Fargle/Saxyphone player,

I once again find myself thanking you for being here, and being my best friend or some cheesy shit like that. 

You are the reason why I still go to our school, it's so worthwhile to hang out and talk and stuff, you're a great person and I hope you never change.

You always listen to me, and your advice is worth listening to, you may not think so, but I do. I really respect you as a friend, and I see you highly. (Sometimes.)

Now, we seem to insult each other a lot, but we know it's out of love and deep down, no matter what shit I say to you, I really care about you and you're my best friend bruh. 

I'm really glad to celebrate your birthday with you because like, we're that close.

To be honest, you're like my sibling that I never had, I'm proud to call you my friend and brother and I hope you have a fantastic 15th birthday.

I'm sincerely sorry for not being able to go to your party, but we had a pizza party of our own today anyway so that's good.

Tips For The Tuba

-broken spit valve? an elastic band cleverly wound around should help contain the waterfall.

-try to do like finger streches. as weird as that sounds. pressing the valves can take quite the toll on the fingers. (they're pretty substantial)

-have confidence when  practicing alone. going from lead line to bass line can be tricky, but trust yourself. you are probably playing it right.

-remember that you are the floor of the band. like literally you are what everyone listens down to and builds off of. you are so important.

That's right: fundraiser time! We're selling chocolates, which I find ironic. I mean, we can't eat chocolate before we play because it would damage the instruments, but we're expected to sell it for band...

Aaaaaaanyways- the chocolate is tasty- Purdy's milk chocolate and dark chocolate. I'm selling two cases because of Choir and Band, but thankfully I don't have to sell for  Jazz Band and Jazz Choir. 

Also: anyone watch Buffy the Vampire Slayer?

remember that episode where the band chocolates made all the adults act like teenagers? Almost makes me not want to sell to my parents... 

teenage Giles was entertaining.

Now here's a question for anyone reading this: what do you think is the most convenient way to sell chocolates? I'm really bad at talking to people so I don't think door-to-door would work well for me...

Tuba-ing all the way, I decided to keep playing the tuba!

Hello, Admin Fred here.

Recently, as most of you may know, I have started to play the tuba. 

I am doing pretty well actually.

I know right?

Anyway, we're now playing British Isles Suite, Fa Una Canzona, The Last Battle and St. Thomas.

I'm so used to playing the melody that playing bass is really difficult for me to grasp.

Here's where I ask all you musical people for help! 

Homework: Teach Admin Fargle how to play St. Thomas properly and tell Admin Fred some tips for the tuba.

UPDATE: Admin Fred is making good progress on The Tuba.

Also, she sits alone in the choir room practicing tuba instead of participating in class.

So she basically doesn't HAVE to do anything all block. Pretty sweet.

Also, I should be kicked out of jazz band. (I'm in senior right now, and intermediate hasn't started yet so...) asdfghjkl It is difficult.

The Tuba.

I've stayed true to my little promise last year.

I am playing the tuba.

And I'm just going to say that...

This is the hardest instrument. Ever.

I respect all you tuba players out there, what you do is not as easy as it looks.

But! I will not give up, even though I have thought about going back to the clarinet.

Here I go.

It's going to be interesting being in different band classes.

Year's Ending...

It's really sad that the year is coming to an end...

That means our grade 8 band year is coming to an end as well...

... sadly.

But there is always next year, hopefully people join band again, I mean where else would you find two "twins but not really twins", awkward fives, a Katy Perry loving guy, LOLdz and so on so forth?

Happy birthday, have a wonderful one. 

I can't believe you're turning fourteen, you're so stupid, immature and annoying.

But I still love you to bits, and I really want to wish you a happy birthday.

We've been through all those hard time together, laughing, singing together. I'm glad I can celebrate what you call the "best day of the year". I agree, because without you, there would be no AdminGeorge&AdminFred, no Fargle&Schmargle, no inappropriate comebacks, no awkward five or any of our inside jokes.

When we're 14, let's do a bunch of stuff we didn't even bother to do last year and the years before that.

I'm glad we're both living so we can celebrate this fantastic day together-- Your birthday.

whos the weirdest in your band class?

I don't know, I mean everyone's pretty weird in their own way. Of the people that make it on to my 'top weirdest' list, I'd definitely say Kevin. Although that might be because I know him best apart from Yura and myself. #Kevinwasbornthisway guys.
