my urge to say jason gets to grow old because he actually retires, but the reality of it is that it's so engrained into him to keep doing what he does, to keep fighting, that even if he were to try to retire at any age, it wouldn't last because he'd get restless. he couldn't sit back and watch people get hurt when he knows he could've stopped it.

if he were to get an injury that took him out of the game, he would do whatever he had to to fix it in order to get himself back out there.

It's not the first time he's heard it. In the back of his mind, he vaguely remembers when he was a child and Alfred made the same comment. You look like him when he was your age. At the time, it made him proud and cheerful. Years later, Talia tells him something similar while brushing the hair from his face and cupping his cheeks. It made his stomach twist into knots and she knew it, which is why she looked at him with such pity and regret as soon as it came out of her mouth.

He's hearing it now from the younger — his younger self? Still so many questions in the air about that, really. Nevertheless, his stomach still twists, jaw flexing as he grits his teeth. "I'm aware."

Death was supposed to be finite. It's the hard earned lesson the universe had tried to drill into his skull as a boy. And yet here he was — in the wake of another ressurection — in a body that looked like his but utterly unfamiliar. His memories feeling more like a haunting, swimming and circling his skull like a head-ache, offering no answers, just more throbbing pain. He felt older, older than he probably was. Too many life times stretched thin and shoved back in a case that could barely fit it. But there would be no rest, he couldn't. Every breath fighting him for the next when he found out the destruction left in his absence.

The moment he had heard the news, it made his stomach twist into knots. It's not true. He can't die. That's not like Batman. That's not Bruce Wayne — that's not his father. Every part of him screamed in protest, refusing to believe what he had been told, but then he finds the truth ... the gut-wrenching, nauseating truth. He cried, he threw up, he screamed to absolutely no one. Once a pristine clean apartment is now left turned upside down and full of research, though he hasn't been back there for a couple of days now.

That same feeling returns when he hears the voice, blood rushing from his face, and yet he holds his ground. Bruce is dead. That is not him. He's quick to draw, gun pointed directly at the other with live bullets ready to unload. Jason takes in the sight, squinting at the suit as he steps around, pacing slowly with his gun still trained.

Looks like him. Can't be him. Mind is playing tricks.

" Cute. Everybody wants to play Batman now. The last guy who tried ended up buried under a new parking lot. So unless ya want that too, I suggest y' take that shit off an' leave 'cause I can do much worse. " Head motions to the body left charred, broken, and cut up. " Your choice. "

jason being allergic to certain things as a child (pineapples, cashews/almonds) but after being dunked in the pit, he no longer is. so anyone who knew him from before is going to have the surprise of their life when they see him stuffing a handful of cashews in his mouth without hesitation

Splattered in blood and staring down at what he had done. White knuckle grip on a FIRE AX he had pulled off a wall. This was a lot even for him. The ADRENALINE was coming down though his heartrate was still spiked.

Tears threatened to spill over as he turned his head just slightly, seeing the older.

Something told him to follow. Something in the back of his mind just wasn't settling. When he had come across the scene before him now, his stomach dropped. Not because of the blood or the sight of the body, but because of the state he had seen the younger one in. He had been here before — regret and feeling overwhelmed. Careful steps are made, hand out to grip the handle of the axe in the other's hands, gently taking the weight of it and giving a tug, an even gentler voice.

" It's okay. You're okay, alright? Just ... give me the axe. C'mon. "

It wasn't supposed to be like this. Many regrets begin creeping up until he shuts them down, turning his attention to revenge. He spent days, searching and tracking, no care in the things he began to do. Between the torture and killing, somewhere along the way, Jason began getting sloppy and he knows it, but also he didn't seem to care about that either. Nothing else fucking matter except getting to the one that did it.

Hands are soaked in blood, dripping from the gloves that covered his skin. The current victim deceased at his feet and only a little information was given in return. He'll move to the next one. i'm sorry to everyone that's followed and i followed back recently and we haven't interacted yet, and also everyone waiting for replies. it's been a rough time for me lately and i'm trying my best but i promise i'm still interested in everything. i just can't really focus on a whole lot rn ):

please don't mistake silence for hatred. please don't mistake unanswered plotting messages as indifference, or a lack of enthusiasm towards you. considering the ages of most roleplayers, many of us have bills to pay, families to take care of, medical conditions to treat, appointments to make, classes to take, homes to clean, and lives to live away from the computer that are far, far more important than writing on tumblr — life has a tendency to get in the way of hobbies and fun things like this. be patient with your fellow writers. if it doesn't work out, it doesn't work out. of course you can set your boundaries, keep your space comfortable, and softblock whoever you wish, but do so while recognizing it's probably not hatred or apathy that keeps them from leaping into your dms with message after message. they probably love this hobby just as much as you... but sometimes life gets in the way.

jason torturing someone, even in the present day. it's absolutely horrid. the knives, the salt, the waterboarding, the live bullets, etc are nothing compared to the fucking napalm he uses to drip on them. if the pain from it seeping into cut wounds wasn't enough (it causes skin irritation when in contact), he'll set the parts he dripped it on on fire and put it out then find another spot.

for those who don't know. napalm is a GEL. it doesn't just roll off and if they do get a chance to try wiping it off, it doesn't. all it does is smear and make a bigger area to set fire to.

jason does not hold back when trying to get information or just straight up torturing someone because he thinks they deserve it.
