What a catch, what a catch || Closed
Honestly, Charlie never thought he’d find himself here. He’s made it to the end of his time here, and somehow, this time, there’s a light on the other side. He knows he’ll be fine out there, once he’s settled down, once he removes himself from all the good and bad of this place. There’s nothing left of his past to drag him down, and he’s finally getting himself to a better future. He never truly thought he had a future.
He only has two suitcases, still, but now he has a carry-on with mementos, with memories, with everything that he’ll hold onto from this place. He never thought he’d miss it. Honestly, he hated being here a lot of the time, but now... now he’s almost sad to see it go. To see his friends go.
But still, this is the end, this is it. He can’t stay in limbo forever. At some point, he has to step back into the real world, has to stop feeling like a ghost. He’s not a ghost. He hopes he’s not.
He steps forward, through the archway.
He has a plane to catch.
