As my first tumblr post, I'm going to recap my art from 2025.
It sure was a year. Somewhere along the lines I've lost my creative spark. Or maybe I was never that creative in the first place.
Anyway. Hi. I'm 🦀. Also known as many other things. I will be posting my art here now.
January
January had me redesigning one of my characters, Cera. Though it was less of a redesign and more of a design tightening. This process is annual for me, so you can expect another something like this this year too.
February
Drip or Drown. Painted a photo featuring my friend tempura_person's small tora and tomatora plushies. This style has become difficult for me lately and I don't know why. I used to get very experimental with my colour and composition, what happened?
March
Speaking of painting and experiments, I painted myself. Or tried to. I don't look like this at all.
April
A uh... scene? with Cera and her friend Cass taking a class. Because I was missing my university days. Maybe they'll have a better time of it than I did. The only lesson I really learned at uni was to never play league of legends again. That shit is evil.
May
Wow, fanart? In the big 2025? No way.
But yeah. I wanted to draw some iname so I drew some iname. And as I was drawing, Ina hit me over the head with "someone who I've missed dearly, a certain detective". What impeccable timing.
June
June was pride month. It was also month of not really drawing anything. But I did squeeze out this 40min painting of Mbq's dino girl character.
July
July was Art Fight. I love art fight. It lets me think less and draw more. I wish every day was art fight. (not really, that would ruin the whole experience)
August
August was umamusume. My buddies from sticc world had a drawing event where we made our own horse girls and drew them in situations. I umamusumized a minecraft enderman. Don't ask.
September
September was tough. The only drawing I did that month was this sketch of a girl I saw at the bus stop. She had very memorable hair – right half dyed black, left half purple.
October
In October I wrote a lot. Started work on a lot of ideas at the same time, trying to weed out those I felt I could abandon. One of the ideas was very new, a novel about an "Inkthief". So far it wasn't abandoned yet. Though Leseti's design is very different now (I haven't drawn it yet).
November
In November I got a new tablet. One I could take with me anywhere. Hoped it would increase my drawing productivity and it has, albeit mildly. Maybe it'll show its full potential yet. Anyway, here's el pinko and her friend twight sporkle.
December
This is my artsona, En. I gave it a new outfit as a symbol of character growth. The growth in question being abandoning twitter for good. Here's hoping this place treats artits better.
