I saw someone who said the show is realistic as an excuse for the way the story is going 

i have something to say to that as a moroccan muslim girl born and raised in belgium I'm Yasmina and Yasmina is me our stories are very similar, i also once had a group of friends that consisted of mostly white girls. there were no problems until there were problems (if you know what I mean) To make a long story short, I eventually dumped them all and I started hanging out with girls that looked like me because ultimately it was easier Because I didn't have to apologize and explain myself all the time

so to come back to the reality of yasminas story, yes okay it is realistic but that is not what i want to see in a fictional series I dont have to see it on a screen to know that i already have enough expierence  from my own life to know that islamophobia and racism is still very present in belgium 

the writers missed the mark to write a nice story about a good group of friends made up of different people who despite the differences stand up for each other and care about each other and about how a young girl navigates life and tries to deal with new and unknown feelings that have surfaced because of a boy i was looking forward to Yasmina's season because i finally wanted to see someone on tv who looked like me and practically is me. I wanted her to have a good season but the racist writers said no 

i don't watch series to see reality i watch series to escape it 

 anyway all this to say; just because its realistic doesnt mean its good!!

yasmina is one of the only characters in all of the skam-verse that knows how to communicate BUT NO ONE LISTENS TO HER

Also I'm loving how in all the other remakes the sana's are seen as "not so religious" compared to her Muslim friends. But here yasmina is actually stricter and "more" religious compared to her Muslim friend.
