We lost one of our greatest inspirations when H.R. Giger died the other day. But his artworks will live on and yield more creative bounty in the years to come. To celebrate his life and career, here's a showcase of the most incredible (and unnerving) artworks of H.R. Giger.

my most recent digital collage, still focusing on the trans-human like my other digital collages but with my new style... again depicting creatures of augmentation like the character on the left, with augmentations to view and experience art through more than sight, as shown by the location of wires, as if plugged into the art. the creature is made other worldly further by its hermaphroditic body (composed from intertwined male and female characters in the original picture) showing a futuristic change on how we augment and change and therefore society changes, standards change as the grotesque augmentations abolish beauty standards in return for the power to play god and ultimately become better than human, post human, a new species
