Sometimes metalsmithing feels like alchemy. 🔥💚 This huge green flame results from burning off denatured alcohol mixed with boric acid, to leave behind a coating that prevents the metal from becoming stained during the soldering process. Feel free to comment with any questions about this process! // I’m hard at work today, finishing loads of pieces for 1/29’s shop update. There will be druzy statement pieces, a Fortune Teller Pendant with an insane fire opal, Woods Witch pieces, and lots more! Keep your eye on my “1/29 Previews” story highlight for sneak peeks. Happy Friday, everyone! 🙌🏼 #soliloquyjewelry #jewelrymaking #metalsmith #silversmith #alchemy #flux #pyro #greenflame #soldering #satisfyingvideos (at Boston, Massachusetts)
