Today, I learned about these gentle giants, their history if captivity, and the work done by volunteers and private sectors to save them. For thousands of years, these beautiful creatures are captivated and mistreated by humans which no longer make them adaptable to live in the wild - like how truly heartbreaking to see these three scream and run every time they hear a truck’s engine earlier despite being in a forest. That is why in Chiang Mai, elephants are being rescued, cared for, rehabilitated, and freed to roam the area. Elephant Nature Park takes part in educating people on how to care for these animals.
