Oracion Seis Arc Part III
This is all in the view of my Oc so scenes she isn't in won't be written or will simply be summarized
“Awe the little maggot wants to play.” Angel cooed amused by her determination.
"This isn't a game!" Jem shouted, "Celestial Dragon: ROAR!" Cupping her hands over her mouth, she fired a beam of burning hot starlight straight towards Brain.
"She's a Dragon Slayer?" Wendy and Carla gasped in sync. They didn't seem to be the only ones caught off guard. Apparently, not everyone reads Sorcerers weekly.
“I don't have time for you.” Brain snapped using another dark spell to counter her blast.
"Dark vs. Light." Lucy muttered, eyes widened at the display of magic, and the poetry within a spell made of light clashing against a spell made of darkness. A light guild vs. A dark guild.
Jem pushed back as hard as she could, the spells clashing in a brilliant display of dark and light, before exploding, sending Jem skidding back towards the rock of which Wendy hid behind. Jem glanced behind her, "Run Wendy!" She screamed as Brain shot another hand made of darkness towards them. Happy and Carla knew what to do. They used their aera magic, grabbed on to Wendy's arms, and took off flying.
"Hitting us when we're down? Not fair!" Natsu grunted, but before he could stand, Hoteye melted the ground beneath them and molded the dirt into waves of which swallowed them whole.
"All is fair in Money and War. Oh yeah!"
As the dark magic shot towards Wendy, Jem created a shield of hard light to fend it off, but Racer sped past her shield, sending her flying into the nearby brush with a hard kick.
In the air, Happy glanced back, as Jem cried out in pain, "Oh no, Jems down!" He cried.
"We don't have time to worry!" Carla scolded. "Fly tomcat!" They sped up with their only remaining defense down in the foliage.
Brains dark spell raced towards them, striking Carla and knocking her out of the sky. "Carla!" Wendy cried, watching her friend fall from the sky.
With the unbalanced weight, Happy struggled to stay in the air, and that was when Brains dark magic hand, snapped around Wendy like a snare and pulled her towards him, with Happy still holding onto her arm.
"WENDY!" Carla cried, tumbling towards Wendy.
"HAPPY!" Natsu yelled as Happy and Wendy were dragged into a portal, that closed immediately behind them.
"I have no use for the rest of you." Brain declared, "Be gone! Dark Rondo!" Brain casted his spell, sending dark magic to rain over the group, Hibiki and Ren protected Lucy, while Lyon grabbed Sherry and tried to dash away.
"Iron rock wall!" Just in the knick of time Jura appeared using his earth magic to create a barrier over his fallen allies.
Upon seeing Jura everyone broke out into grins, "You're the best wizard ever!" Eve praised. "I'll second that one." Hibiki said. "Yeah we were almost goners." Lucy sighed in relief. "Thanks a million."
"Alright," Natsu grunted, finally able to stand, "Let's take them down!" As the dust began to settle, the group realized the Oracion Seis had escaped.
"They're long gone by now." Gray sighed.
"Huh?!" Natsu yelled, "Why'd we let them get away?!"
"Oh Wendy..." Carla murmured, staring off into the distant forest.
"They wiped the floor with us..." Ren muttered.
"Well, they are a lot stronger than we are." Eve said, staring out into the forest like everyone else. "We never stood a chance."
"The Oracion Seis." Lyon gawked. "What unbelievable power."
"And there are only 6 of them." Hibiki said, "Their magic is much stronger than the rumors suggested."
"Just look at what they did to Christina." Sherrys voice trembled.
"According to Angel, the woman who peers into minds, they know everything about our mission. We're lucky no lives were lost." Jura explained to them just how dire the situation was.
"But what about all the people inside Christina?" Lucy asked.
"Don't worry, pretty lady, it's fully automated, we were going to climb inside when we found their base, but we didn't make it that far." Hibiki explained.
"That's a relief." Lucy sighed.
"Glad to see you made it out unscathed." Lyon said, turning to Jura.
"Not quite." Jura corrected. "In fact, I barely made it out alive."
"You're wounded?" Lyon asked, now worried.
"Their power terrifies me." Jura shivered, "I hate to admit it, but if it wasn't for Sir Ichiya's painkiller parfume, I would be in utter agony right now." A few feet in front of him, Ichiya sparkled like he didn't get beaten up in the bathroom.
"Detestable Oracion Seis." He sparkled. "Instead of bravely facing your foes, you decided to flee. Which means we win by default."
"That's not how it works, you weirdo!" Gray shouted at Ichiya.
"Look, pal, we may be battered. But we are not beaten!" Ichiya declared. "Here, take a whiff, and let my painkiller parfume ease your discomfort!" He popped open a vile of pain killer parfume easing everyone's pain in an instant.
"Wow, what a lovely scent." Sherry said wistfully.
"And it works. My pain is just fading away." Lucy murmured. "Wait..." She muttered, suddenly remembering something that was on the tip of her brain.
“Pain killers…” Gray muttered as well, feeling the exact same thing. They look at each other, and the realization hit them.
All eyes snapped towards them, then towards the bushes where she fell. Gray, Lucy, Natsu, and the Trimen rushed over to look for her, but it was Eve who found her.
“Jem? Jem, can you hear me?” Eve asked, lying her head gently on his lap.
Silence over took the group, a chilling fear spreading over them as they held their breath.
That lasting fear was broken when Jem coughed and tried to sit up. Everyone (well, mostly everyone) sighed in relief.
“Thank the gods, you're okay.” Eve sighed.
"You're hurt. You should lie down." Ren adviced
“What happened?" Jem dismissed him, sitting up anyways," Where's Wendy?” Jem looked around for a moment before the memory rushed back to her. “No…” Her eyes darted to the horizon. "They took her..."
"Happy too..." Natsu murmured.
“You did the best you could.” Gray said with an unusual softeness that she hadn't heard before.
“I didn't do enough…” She muttered mainly to herself.
"What do we do now?" Natsu asked, standing over Jem, but head turned to the horizon. "How dare those punks run off with Happy and Wendy? This sucks!" He exclaimed before jumping up run off. "I gotta go find them!"
"Hey, where do you think you're going?!" Lucy called out to him.
Thankfully, we have Carla, who grabbed his scarf and dragged him back, "You mustn't be reckless!" She exclaimed.
The Trimen helped Jem stand as she took in a deep breath of the Parfum, following the others who walked over to Carla. "You need to calm down and think this through. I am concerned about Wendy and the tomcat but this is not a foe to be taken lightly." Carla huffed, "We can not face them again until we've come up with a plan of attack. But first." Carla turned toward a tree where Erza leaned against it for support as the poison spread throughout her arm.
Everyone rushed towards her, Ichiya used more of his Parfum, but it didn't help, infact it made it worse.
"Erza, are you all right?" Gray asked his usual cool demeanor, replaced with fear for his friend.
Erza screamed as the venom spread.
"What are we going to do?" Lucy asked.
“I am sorry- Lucy-” Erza grunted as she took Lucy's belt and wrapped it around her poisoned arm.
"Just what are you going to do with that?" Lucy questioned, holding her skirt up with one hand.
"It's harsh, but it's the only way I can keep fighting -" Erza grunted again, placing a tied up cloth in her mouth as she stabbed her sharpest sword into the ground. "Somebody cut it off."
Everyone's breath hitched.
"At least give us time to find an antidote!" Gray argued, "Jem, isn't there something you can do?" He turned to her in a panicked state of which she had never seen him in.
"No -" She choked, "My spell is the same as Ichiyas that poison would destroy it before it could even begin to work."
"My role is being threatened." Ichyia whined.
"I don't have time-" Erza struggled.
"Very well." Lyon said, grabbing the sword. "I will do it."
"How kind of you." Sherry whispered wistfully.
"Put down the sword." Gray stood in his way.
"No, don't!" Gray countered, his dark eyes widened into something frightened.
"Um Lyon...are you seriously gonna do it?" Lucy asked fearfully.
"We can't lose one of our strongest when facing such a powerful foe." Lyon answered, raising the sword.
"Hold on now-" Jem interjected, "Let's all think rationally for a moment."
"Oh, come on!" Sherry complained, "I can't believe we got stuck with you wimpy, fairies. Quit whining, your friend's gonna die if we don't do something to help her."
"Your friends going to die if he doesn't put down that sword!" Lucy shouted at Sherry.
"Why is that? This is just his way of showing love." Sherry said which was a fucking crazy thing to say.
"Just hurry up and cut it off before the venom spreads to the rest of my body!" Erza urged.
"Put the sword down!" Gray demanded.
"Don't do it! Do you want to be known as the guy who maimed Erza?!" Hibiki tried to reason with Lyon.
"You don't have to do this we'll find a cure!" Eve reassured dashing forward to stop him, but Jura intervened.
"We have no right to go against her wishes." He said.
"Ready?" Lyon asked but didn't wait for an answer. He swung the sword down.
In a flash, Gray froze the sword and shattered it.
"Her arm is more important to you than her life?" Lyon berated, "Where are your priorities?"
"This'll affect her for the rest of her life, so we can't jump the gun. There's gotta be another way to save her." Gray reasoned, Erza shaking behind him.
"You're just as spineless as ever." Lyon spat.
"I really thought you had changed, but you're just as shady as ever." Gray bickered.
Behind them, Erza cried out before passing out from the overwhelming pain, Jem dashed over and caught her head before it could hit the ground. She gently lied her down.
“This is bad, guys! We need to find a way to stop the venom from spreading, or she'll die!" Eve said, voice full of urgent worry.
“We need Wendy she can heal your friend." Carla said.
"Are you saying that kid knows some kind of Anti-venom magic?" Hibiki gawked.
"Not just anti-venom, Wendy knows a numerous amount of healing spells." Carla huffed.
“That's ridiculous. Everyone knows healing magic is a lost art." Sherry said, haughtily crossing her arms.
“Do these powers have anything to do with the whole Maiden of the Sky thing?" Lucy asked, kneeling down next to Erza.
“Yes it does." Carla answered. "You see, that little girl is the sky dragon slayer. She's Wendy the sky dragon."
"She's a dragon slayer, too?" Natsu and Jem blurted out.
"That's why she smelled different!" Jem slammed her fist into her hand like all the pieces clicked together.
“I smelled it too!” Natsu proclaimed.
"You can smell her?" Hibiki grimaced.
"I'll fill you in on the details later, but honestly, the only thing you need to know is that Wendy is the only wizard who can save your friend." Carla explained. "We need her right now."
"In that case," Lyon began.
"There's only one thing for us to do." Hibiki said,
"We're going to have to rescue Wendy." Eve declared,
"We'll do it for Erzas' sake!" Gray shouted.
"And Happys too." Lucy huffed.
"Okay!" Natsu roared. "ARE YOU WITH ME?!"
"YEAH!" The team roared in unison.
At that moment, everyone agreed on something for the first time. They had to save Wendy and Happy...for Erza!
They split into teams of 3.
Natsu, Gray, Jem, and Carla
Ichiya, Ren, and Eve (Ichiya got lost)
And Lucy and Hibiki who stayed behind with Erza.
Hibiki kept tabs on everyone. Now zoning in on Natsu's group.
"So if she's a Sky Dragon Slayer, then what does she eat for power?" Natsu asked curiously.
"Air, of course." Carla answered.
"Does it taste any good?" He probed.
"I don't know." She huffed hastily.
"I don't see how it's any different from breathing." Gray muttered to himself.
"Because it goes in your stomach, not your lungs." Jem corrected her usual cheerful demnor slightly dimmed.
"Right, my apologies. How could I not know the difference." Gray said sarcastically.
Carla then explained to Natsu that Wendy only applied for the job so she could meet Natsu, a fellow Dragon Slayer, and ask him a question. The question was if he knew where the Dragon who taught her Dragon slayer magic, Grandina, had gone.
“So that's the question she wanted to ask.” Jem muttered. She had been silent the whole time, which was unusual given the recent development. She surely would have been curious about another Dragon Slayer and been asking questions like Natsu.
“All the dragons disappeared 7 years ago.” Jem explained to Carla. “At least that's the current working theory. Selene, Igneel, and Metallicana disappeared, too.” Her eyes were dark, but the gears turning in her head were clear to see.
The gears were also turning in Natsu's head, so much so that he ran into a large root of a tall tree that had curved in an unusual way, causing him to hit his head and fall. Even then, he was still thinking. "I know! We can ask Laxus!"
"That loser? Gramps said he's not even a real dragon slayer." Gray countered the idiotic idea.
Before the boys could bicker, Carla let out a loud gasp, or was it a shriek? "What's happened here?" She shrieked gasped.
In front of them, the entire forest had turned black, as if the light itself was being sucked dry from the land.
“The trees... they're black…” Gray gulped breathlessly, sweat running down his neck.
“Oh man! That's creepy!” Natsu's voice trembled.
Jem's breath hitched as she stumbled backward. “Nirvana.” She whispered, skin turning pale.
“This is Nirvana?” Carla asked Jem.
“Nirvana. Turns light into dark. The ultimate spell of Good vs Evil.” The words spilled out of Jem's mouth.
“How do you know that?” Gray asked her in shock.
“I- I don't know.” She stuttered. “It's at the tip of my brain, but every time I reach for it, everything goes fuzzy.”
Jem's hand goes to her forehead as she leans against a tree for support.
“What's wrong with me?” She asks, enraged by her own mind as everything began to turn into static.
Suddenly, 2 monkey men walk up behind them. ”Don't know, kid, but you know way too much, right, big bro?"
"That's right, big bro Gatou, that information is classified." The other one with gold teeth said.
In the trees all around them, more monkey men screeched.
"Oh dear!" Carla fretted. "They have us surrounded!"
"Don't know, kid-" the one known as Gatou started to repeat himself before his brother cut him off.
“Woah awesome! Those two have to be the dumbest monkeys I've ever seen!" Natsu laughed, clapping his hands above his head.
"You obviously haven't looked in a mirror lately." Jem muttered, which earned a snicker from Gray before he schooled his expression.
"Hey, you blockheads are members of Fairy Tail guild!" A bald man screeched. "You're friends with that blonde girl!" He waved around his pointed finger in an accusatory manner.
"Don't mess with Naked Mummy were with the Oracion Seis!" The monkey known as Zato threatened.
"What's with this Naked Mummy business?" Natsu probed.
"Are you that stupid?" Gray asked. "They're the guild Lucy dealt with."
"Oh yeah!" Natsu exclaimed suddenly, remembering.
"It's a trap," Carla realized. "They made us think we were only dealing with 6 wizards."
"Well, I say the more the merrier." Gray smirked his hand, producing the blue light of ice make magic and the gentle fall of ozone.
"No kidding, bring on the monkeys!" Natsu grinned, acting like a monkey himself.
"What in the world has gotten into you two!? We should run while we have the chance." Carla's voice hit a particularly high peak.
"No, they're right, Carla." Jem interjected, "If they beat them up, we can ring them for information. It's our best chance at finding Wendy and Happy." She explained to the cat.
"Exactly." Natsu grinned, "Now tell us where you're keeping our friends!" His fist lit up in flames.
“You think a little fire scares us?” Zato grunted. "This is the end of the line for you, Fairies!"
(Meanwhile, the other groups were facing off against their own small dark guilds)
