What started out as my intention of having a blog about my time on the JET Programme ended up to becoming a blog about my (school) lunches.

Today's school cafeteria daily lunch special set :mabo eggplant set.

The cafeteria makes this set fairly often because I told them I really like it.

Rule #1 of any workplace: be good friends with the kitchen/lunch crew.

Today's takeout lunch: khao man gai chicken rice.

Yesterday's delicious lunch: khao soi, Thai curry noodle soup.

Yesterday's and today's school cafeteria daily bowl special : keema curry rice bowl.

I assume they had leftover keema from yesterday so they just repeated the same daily special. But today, I got an egg.

Today's school cafeteria daily lunch special set : Hamburg steak with a sunny-side-up up egg set.

Today's school cafeteria lunch: katsu curry and rice.

I didn't like either of the daily specials so I just got curry and rose.

Today's takeout bento lunch: vegetable curry and rice bento.

Today's school cafeteria daily lunch special set : ginger pork with a minced pork croquette.

What was new was the alphabet pasta side. It was a bit difficult trying to pick the tiny alphabet letters with chopsticks...

Today's school cafeteria daily bowl special : keema curry rice bowl.

First time the cafeteria had keema. It was just Japanese curry with ground pork but it was still pretty good. Something different than the usual stuff.

Today's school cafeteria daily lunch special set : mabo eggplant and ground pork katsu set.

I like mabo eggplant so I'm pleased with today's set.

Today's school cafeteria daily bowl special : taco rice.

It's just ketchup instead of salsa, but still better than nothing. I'm just glad it was a different flavor profile than the usual rotation of kara'age and Hamburg steak.

Today's school cafeteria daily lunch special set : yaki-udon (fried udon) set.

This was the first time they made this set. After I got it, I realized I was eating carbs with carbs. Food coma in 3, 2, zzzzzzz.
