being the son of one of the richest men in korea may sound like a dream but not for yongbin. not once in his entire life did he ever feel his father’s love for him but as he grew older, he realized that he did not need his father’s endearment and focus instead on those who gave it to him. that’s why he turned to women and other materialistic things instead. however one woman in particular had managed to catch his eye and that was his father’s assistant. the whole thing was being kept a secret because technically he wasn’t allowed to date her but things weren’t going as planned. at least, not when he was sitting in front of him, beside his father as he introduced her as his soon-to-be fiancé. throwing the napkin on the table, yongbin couldn’t help himself as he walked out of the restaurant, jerking her by the arm. “why didn’t you tell me?” he asked as calm and composed as possible, once they were outside.

jeongwoo was used to females coming up to him and hitting on him unabashedly as soon as they saw him. although ever since his daughter expressed her displeasure of him dating, he decided to lay off for a while until she grew older and understood the circumstances they were in. however, the woman in front of him just couldn’t take no for an answer. he was straightforward in telling her that he wasn’t interested but she insisted that this was all just a pretense and how he secretly wanted her. he has never met anyone like her and he wasn’t about to lose his temper to a woman, that’s not what he was raised to be like. so when he felt arms wrap around his waist, he tensed slightly but released a sigh of relief when he saw her send him a wink before he played along. “hey there, yeah i haven’t. sorry, i was kinda distracted for a moment but i’ll go get it now. what was it you wanted again?”

it wasn’t like he despised the girl or anything but he just didn’t like how she was around him constantly, 24/7. chanyoung shook his head in response, “actually don’t you want to get home earlier? i’m sure your mother’s waiting up for you already. perhaps we can walk together another time.” he suggested, although apprehensive that it would be happening anytime soon. he knew that she was persistent but he didn’t think she was this persistent enough to wait up for him.
