THE MED BAY IS A MAD HOUSE WITH THE RECENT RASH THAT SEEMS TO BE PLAGUING MANY OF THE CREW MEMBERS. as each new patient steps foot into the medical wing aboard the uss enterprise, doctor mccoy grows a bit more annoyed. it’s a mask he wears to hide the growing weariness threatening to consume him. while it’s not life threatening, it has infected nearly 90% of the crew and his staff has yet to determine the source. obviously, it’s spread but touch. but do the grew really have that much physical contact with one another? maybe. the jury is still out on that one.

bones is just about to see to another victim when he spies carol. he looks for any sign that she might be ill. “doctor,” bones greets with a tired smile. “have the rash? or are you here for a different reason?” mccoy hopes it’s a different reason. @createdgenesis / ⊹ ˚ . starter call !

carol doesn’t have much time to pay attention to her surroundings . if its not work related , its not worth looking into . she justifies it with dedication , but it has everything to do with seeing her dad being murdered right before her eyes . a truth she sometimes won’t even admit to herself . she isn’t blind to the current ship wide pandemic , but its nothing something she can be bothered much with . the blonde scientist is on her way to medbay to discuss charts with doctor , the rash infection the farthest from her mind . ❝ what ? no i wasn’t even thinking about it ❞ the remark rolls nonchalantly off her tongue . ❝ i came to discuss some charts with you , if you have a moment ❞ there is a hint of a smile in her words

a year is a long time . a lot can happen in twelve months . carol is still processing the events with krull & york town . but the blonde took her time on leave to continue to work on her research . what she wasn’t counting on was a colleague going behind her back & getting it approved so soon . carol had wanted to wait till the mission was finished , but with an vigorous enthusiasm for genesis , she couldn’t say no . carol marcus would not be continuing the mission with her fellow crew . a cloud of darkness hovering above her as she found herself in the arms of a close friend . ❝ it sounds wonderful ❞ she tries not to let her emotions show , ❝ but ... maybe we could have some lunch ? theres something you should know . ❞
