Britney Spears Tells Judge “I’m So Angry It’s Insane” in Conservatorship Hearing

“A lot has happened since two years ago, the last time I was in court,” Spears said. “I don’t think I was heard on any level when I came to court last time.”

She then continued to detail that she was forced to do a 2018 tour, and forced to change her medication, among a long list of other grievances she said made her feel like a slave. “Not only did my family not do a goddamn thing, my dad was all for it,” said Spears.

“I’ve lied and told the whole world I’m okay and I’m happy,” Spears said, explaining that she was in denial. “If I said that enough, maybe I’d become happy. … I’m in shock. I’m traumatized. … I’m so angry it’s insane.”

Spears said she didn’t know she could petition to end the conservatorship, and that she was told she’d have to be evaluated again in order to do that.

“I’m scared of people. I don’t trust people with what I’ve been through,” says Spears of the idea of seeing another psychiatric specialist. “It’s not okay to force me to do anything I don’t want to do. … I truly believe this conservatorship is abusive. I don’t feel like I can live a full life.”

Spears says she wants to get married and have a baby, but she has an IUD and she can’t get permission to go to a doctor to have it taken out. She wants her boyfriend, actor Sam Asghari, to be able to drive her around town, and to dial back the amount of therapy she has to undergo each week. Spears also wants the therapist to come to her home, so that paparazzi can’t stake out the person’s office to take photos of her.

Tell me about whale carcasses in improbable places

in February of 2019, a 30-ft humpback whale corpse was found in Brazil. that's a little unusual, sure, but what really makes this incident stand out was that the 10-ton dead whale was sitting in the middle of the fucking jungle just rotting quietly in the underbrush.

Hi! On CWS, "soɾɪl" is classified as an EP verb, but in the would/should/could constructions, it uses the regular affixes. If I want to say "I can", which affixes should I use?

EP. I wouldn’t say that it ever takes the regular affixes because that’s a specific construction. You can’t use the other affixes for those constructions. Does that make sense?

Can -wi be used for objects as well as people, or should there be a different affix for an object that does something? For instance, ɔk’ɾiwi would be a cook and ɔk’ɾi## (or ##ɔk’ɾi) for a cooker? (Or maybe there is already a way to express this and I've totally missed it?)

Yup, that would be the same word! (Theoretically, as we haven’t added cook (n) or chef to the dictionary.) The idea of having an affix to indicate that someone is a professional is very tempting, however!

Hello, me again nitpicking about a few things. On CWS, I noticed that ejectives were transcribed as blends with a glottal stop. Is there a difference between k' and kʔ? The latter occurs in words like "fakʔvɑloʃ", should it be revised as "fak'vɑloʃ"?

The difference would be that k’ would be in the same syllable, while in kʔ, k and ʔ would be in different syllables.

goɾmi! On the CWS homepage, there's a sample that says "ɛgɛkɑ gɐlɪfɾɛjil". Are tense markers optional in some cases?

Thanks for catching that! Universal tense is always optional; it’s only used for emphasis. Personals are required.
