something that will always always always frustrate me is that Caine never got his happy ending, all of the humans will continue to see him and treat him like a tool, as of he is not sentient and he won't really be free to express any emotions.

He has started listening to them but they will definitely not be listening to him. This isn't a two way street nor is this healthy, it's just Caine being a people pleaser.

And yeah, I get it's accurate and I have absolutely no issue with it. I guess I just wish he had gotten a happy ending after all hes been through.

On a side note, for whatever reason, even when I'm trying to consume pieces of media where the gang do end up listening and appreciating him, it ends up feeling wrong. Thats more of a me problem though.
