Getting in the Mood I am an avid reader, love the research for our tours…. History is great, travel guides helpful, newspapers good for current affairs but you can’t beat a well written yarn. The story is important of course but it is all the little clues about local culture that I really appreciate. Just writing to our Ghana Group for 2020 and this book sprung to mind and how much I enjoyed it. It is a good read for anyone, going to Ghana or not. Home again and off to the office. This view as the sun rises is so rare. Our neighbour across the road has a winter crop in the ground and it is looking like it will be a good one. We live in a very marginal area, more desert than farm land and this neightbour has never had a good monsoon crop in the 10 years we have been here and never tried to plant winter time. This year monsoon was so generous our area has a lot of winter crops growing well. Great for our local people But as part of a bigger world picture very strange, so much more rain than can be remembered locally.
