Alex has third design for his younger self seen in Dreamworks' nursery rhyme series, so I gave Zuba all three of Alex's designs as different sons. (V0.5)

I'll try to come back to this one with cleaner artwork and maybe some coloring, but I'll also be doing different stuff than just grifting on Alakay's adoration. It'll either be for other Madagascar characters or custom Madagascar characters (the executable one if you know you know).

Trying to remake two Alakay artworks after they got library-of-alexandria'd. It's a mess because I upscaled a sketch of Alakay, and did the same with the backgrounds that I went over wildly with a brush tool.

Discovered color dodge, and now I'm getting weird DA fanart vibes from it. Lol

Anyways Alaka'i means leader in Hawaiian and it'd be weird if Zuba had a Hawaiian-English dictionary around for son names

Do you know if there's any info about what the scene where Alex says goodbye to his parents in Madagascar 3 was going to be like?

I'm not sure I knew such a scene was ever conceptualized, so no unfortunately I don't! Perhaps there's something in the directors' commentary, but I haven't listened to it in a hot minute! 🤔

Visual artist Erwin Madrid drew a storyboard of Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted and it shows Zuba and Florrie overlooking the Zoosters leaving the reserve. It was going to happen, but was likely cut out for the runtime (and Bernie Mac's death).

It was likely made very early into production, since Gia is still an albino jaguar.

Sorry this is random but I have been searching for a video of Tom McGrath I saw a while back and lost. Hoped you might know it. From what I remember it was a tour he did of the Dreamworks studio, featuring various rooms (I specifically remember some kind of video conferencing room) but the most notable thing about it to me was his comment that he liked to "take a swim in the fountain" in the courtyard. Please help me!
