Yess… Clary should be Parabatai with Izzy. Perfect.
*opens arms for all the Clarys*
Glad you like the idea. :) Would you want to start a thread based on it? Cause that'd be awesome :)
She smiles. "Thank you." She said. "And if you must know, I'm very different. I'm a lot older than I look." She says, softly.
"You're welcome." Clary replies. "Oh, really? So...warlock or vampire? Or are you something else?" Clary asks. Somehow she doubts a Shadowhunter would be allowed to marry a Downworlder. Even today, Shadowhunters and Downworlders didn't get along. Though maybe the two had run away. The idea seems very romantic to Clary,
He sighed. "Sorry. I'm sorry, Clary, I didn't mean that." He said, taking her hand and having her sit on the couch. "I rented that new action movie. I haven't watched it yet. Want to?" He offered a small smile.
"It's ok." Clary replies, managing a small smile. "Sure, sounds good."
"That's my husband," she whispered. "This was his." Her eyes misted as he remembered all the times they'd quoted it to each other. She smiled at the girl. "How much?"
"Your husband? Wow." Clary replies. The woman didn't look much older than her but apparently she had already been married. And judging by the tears that appeared in her eyes, her husband was dead already. Which only made her more sure that this woman was a Shadowhunter. Though that didn't explain how she was still alive. "But how? I mean--the book's so old." Unless it wasn't as old as it looked. But Clary thought that a supernatural explanation was more likely. Especially when a Shadowhunter was involved. When the woman asks her how much, Clary says: "Well....I can't make you pay for it. It should be yours anyway so...just take it."
warrior: simon-got-fangs: warrior: simon-got-fangs: “Living room!” He called,...
"Right, Broody the Brother." He smiled. "I mean... I can't say that I'm as upset as you are. He's... meh." He shrugged and looked at her. He didn't want to upset her. But Jace being her brother was an asset to him. An opportunity even.
"Uh...Yeah. What movie?" He asked.
"He is not that broody!" Clary replies, though she manages to smile a little at Simon's joke. Though her smile fades when he says that about Jace. Though she had spent time with him, it was still hard. The idea of him being her brother was still hard for her to accept. So Clary just stays silent. When Simon asks her what movie she wants to watch, she shrugs. "Anything you want is fine with me."
If my character had a catchphrase, what do you think it would be?
Send a "Will you bear my children?" to see my muse's reaction.
Having a parabatai can’t strictly be for male shadowhunters right?
Isabelle should have a parabatai.
Yes and it should be Clary.

"Amazing, obviously. And yourself?"
"Glad to hear that. I've been alright."
Tessa froze as she saw the book. Her heart sped. "Where did you find this copy? Do you what that is?" She said, seeing Will's name.
"Well...uh...I found it on the shelves." She replies, pasting an innocent smile on her face. When she asks what the writing is, Clary shrugs. "Someone who owned it before wrote in it. Someone named William Herondale." An amused look appears in Clary's eyes at the name Herondale. The guy was obviously related to Jace. A distant relative judging by how old the book looked.

Joanna’s friendliest smile was in place even though she wasn’t in the mood. She was lost in what seemed to be some replicated version of very early twenty-first century New York where everyone believed they truly were in the decade it had been modelled after. This was of no help to her when she wanted to find out where the nearest ship yard was to try and get back to Starfleet to get back to her life on board the Enterprise. Her communicator wasn’t working, and no one was breaking character, so for now, Joanna had to try and blend in. Boy, was she glad she had her civillian clothes in her bag.
She smiled up at the woman behind the desk of the book store, quickly looking around before slowly beginning to realise that the woman looked exactly like her. Her eyes widened in horror as she slowly backed away from the counter. “What the hell?!”
Clary was about to yell right back at the person being so rude to her when she notices how the woman looks. The two of them look exactly alike. Clary frowns, wondering if this is Magnus's idea of a practical joke. Though she imagined the High Warlock of Brooklyn had better things to do than play practical jokes on Shadowhunters. "Uh....who are you?" Clary asks once she recovers from her surprise. There has to be some simple--or complicated--explanation for how they look exactly alike. Maybe they're long lost relatives. Maybe she has another sibling she didn't know about. (Though she doubts that one.) Maybe it's just a coincidence. Clary had heard that everyone has someone in the world who looks like them. She had just happened to meet her double.

"Thank you." And she watches the redhead walk past her, the fire like color oh so close to Henry’s. Tessa shakes her head because no, she shouldn’t be thinking about the past. The past is the past and it’s where it belongs. The brunette is almost okay as she takes the book, opening it to it’s cover. She has to hold her breath, because the words are so familiar. The writing, then dent. William Herondale. Her fingers, nails painted red with nail polish as her finger traced over it one. Tessa’s head popped up, her blue eyes wide as she looked at the girl. “Where did you get this?”
"You're welcome." Clary replies, heading back to the counter to ring up the woman's purchase. Suddenly she hears the woman's voice ask where she got it. She shrugs, putting an innocent smile. "On the shelves. Where else would I find it? Was the guy who wrote it a friend of yours or something?" Though Clary doubts that unless the woman was a warlock or vampire. The book had looked really old when Clary had found it. Luckily it was in good condition.
warrior: simon-got-fangs: "Living room!" He called, turning on the lights....
Simon shrugged and gave her a thumbs up.
"Well enough. I'm fine." He gave a mocking scowl . "Don't laugh at me, Fray. I'm brooding. And mind you, I look better than blonde boy doing it any day." He smirked.
"You sure?" Clary asks. She imagines it must be even harder for Simon to adjust to being a vampire than it is for her to adjust to him being one. "Jace is not that broody." Though at the moment, she supposed he was. So was she. Finding out that she was related to the boy she was falling for had been a hard thing to go through. "And I can't say who looks better. You're my best friend and he's my....brother." A disappointed note creeps into her voice as she says the word 'brother'. "Anyway, want to go out and enjoy the--" She had been about to say enjoy the sun before she realized that Simon couldn't. He was a vampire and vampires couldn't go out in the sun. "So...wanna hang out? Watch a movie or something?" She quickly asks.
