I do this thing where I look for reasons to push people away. I never gave you my full love when we were together. My jealousy and insecurities were not the reason we didn’t work out, they were excuses to keep a wall up between us. At the time, I didn’t realize this about myself. I truly didn’t. Putting it into perspective now, 3 years later, I realize that I had an issue of not letting myself get close to people like that. The closer we felt the more I pushed you away. I think I had to be in control of the relationship to feel safe. That was my way of feeling in control. After realizing this about myself, I won’t let myself do that anymore. I want to put all of my energy and love into my next relationship. I want a supportive, healthy, loving, understanding relationship. But yeah, I’m sorry you experienced that chapter of me.
