The Creek Big Bang is currently searching for 2 Mods and 1 intern Mod to help run the event. We welcome anyone who is interested to apply. The only requirement is that you must be 18 or older to apply. If you are turning 18 this year, it must be before the event start date of Feb 17th 2021.

Sorry this page has been quiet for a month. After the Interest Check was taken down, I was slightly disappointed with how little response it got. About 24 people filled out the form, so I went back and forth on deciding whether or not to continue this event.
After some much deliberation, I figured maybe I didn’t give it enough time and the form was out during the holidays, so maybe people were busy. I’m really hyped for this event and I really want to do it. So I’ve decided that the Creek Big Bang WILL happen! 🎉🎉🎉
So what does this mean? Well, the schedule had to be updated of course and it is now complete on our schedule page, so please check it out! Also I’ve posted the handbook so that people unfamiliar with Big Bangs can read through it as see what the event’s expectations are. If you have a question about the event, there’s a 90% chance the answer is in the handbook. If not, feel free to send an ask!
The event will open for everyone Feb17th and happen on Discord. The minimum word count will be 5,000 for writers and 1 piece of art for artists with the option to do more. Right now we don’t have a theme but you all will get to vote on some of the great theme suggestions we had in the interest check or vote not to have one during sign ups. The theme, if we have one, will not be mandatory.
For now, I’ll need some help modding the event. I’ll be making another post in search for at least 2 other people to moderate the event and possibly 1 intern position as well if anyone wants modding experience. The mod applications will be open from Feb 1st through the 12th. I really look forward to see who applies.

We got a couple of questions in the Interest Check, so we want to address them and post them here for everyone to see.
1. Can beginning artists can participate?
Yes! The great thing about Big Bangs is that anyone of any skill level can join. So if you are a beginning artist or writer, don’t be afraid to join.
2. Will you accept all types of works or certain ones (dependent on theme)? E.g. canon compliant, canon age appropriate or AUs.
Great question! Regardless of if there is a theme or not, all works such as AUs, aged up, or canon compliant will be accepted. More than likely we will either have a theme with the option to not have to do the theme or no theme at all, so you guys will be free to write anything for the Creek Big Bang.
3. Will there be information/advice around avoiding triggers for themes/NSFW content so that everyone feels comfortable and welcome?
Yes, we want everyone to feel safe and comfortable with this bang. So during sign ups the forms will
· Ask if you are 18+ (No one under 18 will be able to write or work with NSFW stories for the bang)
· If 18+ ask if you going to write NSFW or for 18+ artists ask if they do or do not want to draw for NSFW stories
· Ask to provide us any triggers you have so we can make a list of banned topics for the server
· The server will be SFW. For any NSFW topics, there will be a specific channel that you will have to be 18+ to get access to.
When it comes to summaries, the writer can choose to use write about any triggers they want, but they will have to list all those potential triggers that may come up in their story. That way when artists read over the summaries, they will see that list and can choose to not pick a story based on the triggers. The summaries will also be split into SFW and NSFW categories. You’ll have to be 18+ artist to see the NSFW summaries.
We will also allow accommodate any minors who don’t want to work with adults or any adults who don’t want to work with minors.
4. When would the day be?
The schedule is still not finalized because it’ll be made based on the answers given in interest check. Once the interest check closes and we get an idea of how many people want to participate, the word count minimum, and how long they expect the bang to be, then we’ll finalize and post the schedule. So far, we’re looking at the event starting either late January or 1st of February.
