Bro I need advice on using AJC’s busted art program… how did you get it so symmetrical and clean ðŸ˜
Wow omg this is my first ask!!!!!! I'll try to break down my process, mind you I have no idea if this is the most efficient method of painting in AJC, this is just how I went about it :)
I did use my drawing tablet for this. I was struggling to get it to work with animal jam, at first it was only drawing little dots instead of actual brush strokes, but what ended up fixing that for me was turning windows ink off in the tablet's settings.
For the basic shapes, I used the circle and line tools. I literally just drew a circle with two triangles for ears and two circles for eyes. That helped me get a good base which helped keep things symmetrical.
I sketched over that with a different color on the smallest brush setting, then used the bucket tool to get rid of the original base.
For coloring, I blocked out the colors with the largest brush setting and filled in the smaller bits with the smaller settings. For the detailing/shading, I just used the default brush on the smallest setting. I've seen some really incredible AJC artwork using the airbrush tool, but it looked really muddy when I tried using it, so I just stuck with the default brush.
Also some general tips I think might be helpful,
There aren't any layers so it's important to work from the back to the front, so I finished the cat before I started working on the plants.
There also isn't an eyedropper tool and the palette only saves your 15 most recent colors used, so be careful for that.
I would STRONGLY recommend saving your work as a file before proceeding with each step in your drawing process. The AJC art software only lets you undo the last action, so saving is gonna be your best friend.
