he’d been staying up late recently for a job he needed to complete within the next five days. he hadn’t wanted to waste any time so he didn’t fall behind, but it was obvious the lack of proper sleep was affecting him — or, obvious to those around him, at least. he leaned back in his chair, arms stretching up as he peeled his eyes away from the screen in order to rest their irritation. soon, he noticed the small girl in the doorway. it was only two - thirty, she usually stayed asleep just a bit longer with his absence. ❛ what’re you doin’ up, love? ❜ he asked, smiling softly at her. ❛ i’ll be in bed in just a moment, you don’t have to wait up. ❜ // @crestefallen / sc.
