Perhaps we merely need to adjust our basis for observation.”Adorned as the landscape was with a virulent selection of dangerous arachnids and shallow-water molluscs, there was a charming scent of what smelt akin to rosemary in the air; one might almost be able to ignore the sensation of mud grasping at one’s ankle, or the mild neurotoxic sting of the leaves hanging down from nearby trees brushing against their exposed flesh as they continued on in their traipse through the wilderness. Not a moment or two after landing, they’d encountered a sign leading to a village, supposedly directing their weary traveller’s feet toward the nearby so-called settlement of ‘Almac’. It had been encrusted round the edges with fading paint of a bright purple, bordered with a fiercely metallic silver and set deep into a large upstanding boulder directly opposite their exit pathway. However, not 5 miles later (or, 5x10^(-14) parsecs, if his calculations were correct), there was no such settlement. Given the lavish nature of the sign, one might have expected a refresher of direction, at the very least. No such luck.“Though by now it does rather beg the question of whether we came the right way…” he wondered, stopping short mid-pace as he turned to review the leafy surroundings. “Are you sure you read the sign correctly?”
