   clad in a sport’s jacket with a logo slashed over the brest,  he looks every part of a rich,  idle dog-walker  --  as is the plan.  ACE has a penchant for pulling bruce along for his walk instead of the other way around,  though bruce allows it,  enjoying the crisp winter air as he moves fast to keep up with the hound in the park.  unfortunately,  however,  ace has as much of an affinity for women as he does disdain toward most men,  a trait cultivated in him from his previous,  abusive owner.   he’s come so very far from when he first entered bruce’s stead,  though his eagerness for pets and treats from pretty girls tends to be pesky too.

ace has found a new friend,  so to speak  --  partly because she’s a woman,  partly because of whatever food she has in her hands.  bruce frowns as he sniffs her feet,  pulls him back by the harness to avoid any jumping.  he’s strong,  even for a german shepherd.  he whimpers,  and bruce shushes him gently,  tossing a treat into his mouth.

  when he makes out the face to whom he owes an apology,   he immediately recognizes becky albright.  “ --  SORRY.  ace can be overly friendly,  at times.”  ace sits obediently,  looking between both figures for a hint of what to do.

  HIS EXPRESSION remains as neutral as ever,  beyond a slight upward turn of his lips.  there’s no attempt to fake any sort of amusement.  “----GOTHAM’S whole history is a crime wave.  you know this.  is that really why you’re here?”

okay but…Wayne Enterprises. There is no way that Thomas Wayne, a doctor, could fundamentally have managed both careers. In name, yes, but not in presence. He was a DOCTOR. Do you know how many hours doctors work? With these thoughts established, I think we all know what I’m leading to. Martha Wayne probably ran the company. Had a question? Martha Wayne. Needed a signature? Martha Wayne. Had a pitch? Martha Wayne. It was a well-oiled system, but there needed to be an acting CEO. And I believe that acting CEO would be Martha. This, of course, brings up little five year old Bruce being brought to the office whenever she needed to pop in. I’M NOT SAYING think about tiny Brucie dashing through the halls and the older employees remembering those occasions every time they look upon their fine and respectable CEO adult Bruce Wayne, but…it’s there if you want it.
