Blind Leading the Blind || Ca Event Open

It seemed everybody had decided to bring their little ankle-biters out of the house today, but this was the first one Toph had found alone. Really, she would have noticed sooner if not for the fact that she was peacefully napping on the same park bench she was sitting in now before having been so rudely interrupted by a weird cracking sound.

Moments after waking she felt little hands pawing at her from below.

"Whoa! Where’d you come from, ya little rugrat!?”

Confused as she felt the small child’s hands tugging on her tunic, Toph tried swatting them away, unaware that the toddler bore a shocking resemblance to her. The baby flinched and began to whimper.

Jeez what kind of dead-beats left their kid to wander around in the street?

Feeling a little guilty for upsetting it and developing sense of protectiveness for her surprise charge, Toph went to pick the kid up, shocked for a moment to find her hands meeting only flesh.

Oma and Shu this kid was walking around naked!? Unbelievable!

This hardened her resolve. She seriously needed to find whoever was responsible for this little girl and tell them what for. 

"I’m not your mom, but I won’t leave you alone out here either," she said to the baby, who only sniffed in response, wide green eyes darting every which way at all the sounds of the city around them.

Heh. Toph had to admit the little sounds she was making were pretty cute.

Suddenly, Toph caught ‘sight’ of someone nearby, moving around at a different pace than everyone else around them. It was hurried, almost as if they were looking for someone, but that was really up to interpretation. She wondered if they were the A+ parent that had let this little one out of their sights.

Well, only one way to find out.

"HEY YOU THERE! IS THIS KID YOURS?"

Diavolo had finally caught up to his younger self, after giving him the alias of soliddo, and was in the middle of scolding him when he was so very rudely interrupted. "Soliddo! I told you to behave yourself! Don't go wandering off lik th-" Diavolo turned around him hearing someone yell in his direction. "I'm right next to you shut up you don't need to yell idiot. yes. Of course soliddo is in my care or I would not call him by name" A younger diavolo fought back "hey my name isn't so-" And Diavolo placed a hand on his lips "shhhhhhhh what did I tell you yesterday? Just roll with it and I'll show you a cool trick" By this point in time Diavolo was even considering using one of his precious stand summoning to quite his younger self down.

Diavolo looked back at this new person and saw her holding hands with a younger child as well. Diavolo didn't question how the strange child looked so similiar to Toph, assuming it was her sister.

"tsk. My first love, my first mistake." Diavolo scorns while remembering the incident. "I truly did love her…and part of me still does. This is exactly my mistake. I cannot become a proper "king" with having such thorns in my side. I was much younger when I met her, and part of me wished for a normal life…I was truly foolish thinking a mere women would be able to give that to me..It would have been the best for the both of us if I had only ignored any useless feelings and sentiments and continued on with my life and not putting my goals on hold. Even if I do love her, any "love" is useless in the long run, isn’t it."

Happy Easter ! Open

Diavolo began his usual morning routine. Take a quick shower. No one could hate the beautiful feeling of warm water pouring onto your skin in a sleepy morning. He'd love to be able to stay in the shower just five more minutes, but business is business. He finished his simple meal of pancakes and coffee and was of for the day. He took one step out of his living quarters and step on a golden egg. "What the hell this is disgusting. Who thought it would be funny to put this right where I would step?" he cursed under his breath, swearing vengeance to the person who wronged him."

Wait a second...is that a....?" He questioned. Looking down something, no that's not quite right, someone came out of the crushed egg. "geh!" he clenched his hand into a fist, his nail digging into the palm of his hand. This is impossible? Right? This has to be some sort of joke He contemplated. He kicked at the small body in front of him, hoping it was dead. It moved with an "oompf!" If Diavolo had checked the news this morning he would have already have learned about the occurrence of these mysterious eggs and perhaps he would have been more careful and watched where he was going. He shouted at the thing that came out of the egg "You! stand up if you're alive!" The young boy quickly stood up and stared at the man. 

"You are....?" Diavolo said absent mindlessly lost in thought...This boy looks like the splitting image of me from the past......where I grew up back in that village....but that's impossible right? as much as it'd be easier to kill him now I should gather information. No....I shouldn't jump to conclusions, what if this is the work of an enemy and we're connected? Perhaps if he dies I would as well.

"You're asking for my name?" the young child replied with a smile "We'll that's easy mister my name is Do-" Diavolo quickly interrupted him "SHHH SHHH Shut up. While you're here you will respond to Soliddo. Think of it as your new name. Understood? Slip up once and that priest will die." The younger child started crying, but then a thought rushed through his head. "There's no way you know father so I'm not gonna listen to you."and the younger "soliddo" stuck out his tongue.  Diavolo sighed,was his younger self always such a brat? He decided to spill the truth. "You're to listen to me. Do you hear me? You are a younger me. You've proven it by speaking that name and having known that priest. I'll prove it to you. You have a scar on your arm that you got from playing around with a knife, but you told everyone that it was from a cat. Far from the smartest idea. If it was a cat there would be more than one mark."

The young boy spoke up "Wooooah if that's true then I grow up to be really really cool mister! Er, future me." Diavolo rubbed his forehead. He could feel a headache forming. this would be a long day.

That was foolish. He can’t let himself be killed? But if he was weak and had no powers, how could he stop the Hellion from doing as he wanted? People really had strange minds, didn’t they? Then again, he couldn’t give a battle his all, and it certainly made the outcome even more hazy than it already was.

"And what’s so important that I can’t kill you?" Well, at least it piqued a bit of curiosity. Not being able to kill the other… Well, it had to be something important to make him respond like that. Though, if it was just a plea to save his own life, then that was a lot less interesting than the pink-haired boy was hoping for.

"A-AH....." Doppio moaned. He began to get a headache again. One hand raised up to his head to try to stop the painful thud thud thud that was beginning. He found himself in yet another stressful situation. "I can't tell you...I mean it wouldn't be go-....important if I could easily tell anyone? Um....I should probably be going now haha...." As Doppio slowly backed up, not turning his back on the boy for a second; he ended up tripping and falling on a piece of trash. "ouch..." he complained.

Alrighty! It’s taken us a while, but we do need to note, there will be some special limits placed upon accessibility of the new districts! Further explanations will be published at a later date, though basically, the new districts will be exclusive in some ways! Some of the new districts will be open to only certain ranks on certain days, which should heighten their mystique.

It should be noted, however, that savior and equivalent ranks will be allowed in each district at any time that they like. They are the city’s VIPs at this point in time.

Boring, boring, boring, boring! If he wasn’t lying that was boring!!! The teen just stared for a good minute, almost looking sorrowful. So he didn’t usually fight? And he apparently didn’t have powers? Then what use was it for someone like him to be alive? The answer, in Hanon’s mind? None.

There was no entertainment with this human, none what so ever. “So… since you don’t usually fight, does that mean I can just kill you already? You’re kind of boring after all.” And boring people… there was no sense in keeping them around. Especially not when they didn’t sate any of your curiosities.

Doppio was a little shocked by the new person question. Why would he want to kill him just because he found him boring? In Doppio's world he'd seen all sorts of petty people, but for the most part if they killed someone they had more of a reason than "you're boring". Even the boss didn't like keeping people around who killed solely for fun.

Doppio gulped before he spoke up, as unusual as Hanon's perspective was to him he could tell he was being completely serious. "um....of course I can't let you kill me I still have a lot of really important work to be doing!" He nervously said while knowing that his protest would be in vain.

There was a moment of surprise. No powers? A guy that looked like that? He wasn’t sure if he believed it. There was something about the way he answered. “Are you sure about that? You know, it’s no good to lie to people, it sets a bad example.” Not that he really cared if it set a bad example or not. He hardly cared for the opinions of others, but it still was a valid argument.

"So then, what? You fight without powers, in a place with people who have powers?" The body, the way the guy moved, every instinct in the teen’s mind said that he was a fighter. Possibly a powerful one too. "That would be suicidal, you know."

"I don't usually get in fights....when I occasionally do I'm really clumsy...." He replied. Doppio wasn't exactly lying. What little special abilities he had were borrowed from the boss when he lent part of king crimson to him for more important missions.

He answered this new boy's questions "I don't usually fight... There's a few gang's back home, but i'm not part of something as shady as that! I'm job was just a regular reporter" he replied. Doppio had no reason to tell a total stranger any of his secrets, so he quickly made up a back story for himself.

The last thing he remembered was going into hyperdrive.

He was aboard the Aloha Oe, his ‘state-of-the-art’ spaceship. Meow, the Betelgeusian was sitting a seat over from him, flipping through some sort of anime magazine. QT, their vacuum and all-purpose robot, sat in the navigator’s seat, punching in the coordinated he’d been given by the captain, Dandy. A new BooBies, that wonderful restaurant with its waitresses, scantily clad in tight tops and even tighter shorts, had opened up a new branch a few galaxies over, and Dandy was determined to visit it today.

QT must’ve messed something up, because before he knew it, Dandy found himself in a white room, with some loser scientists talking to him. He barely paid attention, but he caught the basic gist of it. He didn’t really care. All he knew was that he was somewhere new, somewhere he hadn’t been before, and there just had to be a BooBies here.

Before the scientists were even done talking, Dandy stepped out into Hive City, grumbling a bit. Even though there had to be a BooBies here, he still didn’t know where he was.

“Damn bucket of bolts, can’t even punch in some coordinates right.”

Dandy kicked at the ground, huffing under his breath, hands in his pockets. To his surprise, he found 500 woolongs, an excellent starting amount, and more cash than he’d had in weeks. A smile quickly overtook his face as he patted the money in his pocket. Now he really had to find that BooBies! He grabbed the shoulder of the person nearest to him, someone that walked past them, and turned them around to face him.

“Hey, you know where I can BooBies?”

"owah!" Doppio was frightened to be so suddenly grabbed. Seeing it was a stranger didn't really help matters. What did that even mean? "Where I can boobies?" That was a train wreck of a sentence. Was this man just a drunkard? 

Doppio nervously spoke up "Um...no? Please let go of me!" Doppio wanted this unpleasant conversation to end as soon as possible.

The almost eager smile remained in place. Yes, he was rather happy for running right into a stranger, wasn’t he? “That’s because people are interesting, don’t you think?” Or maybe that was his own personal belief. At least he could have fun with people.

"Hey, you have powers too, right?" Would they just bring boring old people? He hoped not… "What kind of thinks can you do? Did your abilities get limited too?" He certainly seemed to be having fun with the sudden Q&A.

Though people from home had a few of odd abilities" commented Doppio. Of course Doppio was lying. He couldn't afford to reveal any type of information that might come to hurt the boss later on.

  ❝Though I didn’t find them… yet.❞, her insecurity about her encounter was still there. And she didn’t know by herself why she told him all about this. Shouldn’t she just run away or fight him? Well, at the moment he didn’t ask for a fight so there was nothing to worry about.

"You are the first person" he paused and made a "tsk" noise. "that I have, quite literally I might had, have run into here. I have business to attend to so I shall be leaving now." He said back. Diavolo thought then again I should be building my connections to capitalize on them later. 

He spoke up "Well, that is, I shall be leaving unless you require some assistance from me" Diavolo felt that we would seriously regret saying this, but as annoying as the outcome might be it would help him in the long run.

After exploring the gloomy area that was district Gamma and find nothing of too much interest to report back to the boss, Doppio decided it was finally time to investigate his new living quarters. 

Doppio walked up to the first person he saw to ask for directions. The boss would have criticized him for being to careless if he knew, but what else was Doppio supposed to do? He had been walking around for hours and found no trace of any housing area.

"Um Excuse me?" He spoke up to the new stranger "I just got here and uh I was told there was supposed to be some housing here....Could you tell me where that is?" He inquired in a tone that seemed far too nonchalant for someone who had just been kidnapped.

Diavolo paused for a moment to think. hmm....she flinched at nothing... You would think there is a common trait shared among the kidnapped people...Even so I shouldn't let my guard down around her. Diavolo has seen many people in his line of work that have appeared to be meek, but turned out to be quite competent. 

"That's not a name i'm familiar with. Are you here alone or were you able to meet up with other acquaintances of yours?" He asked in a curious tone of voice.

He was powerful, a simple fact that no one could deny. He was strong, and almost everyone else was weak. And if someone got stronger? All he had to do was consume them, and he would only get more powerful. Despite all his strength, it was amusing. Watching humans, even celestials… It was fun ‘experimenting’, they did get boring quickly when you ended up breaking them, but the learning was fun.

As someone who was kidnapped, someone who wasn’t even an adult he seemed to take the situation relatively well. In fact… He seemed almost excited by the whole thing as he danced between people. Wide eyes only growing wider.

This experiment he was thrown into, he supposed he would consent to it for now, after all, he had his own experiments to conduct. The limits placed on him were amazing, the power these scientists held quite intriguing. He wanted to know more…And so what did the pink-haired boy do? He approached the first person that gave off a different air than the normal humans about them.

"Hello!" He greeted with wide excited expression, beaming smile cutting across his lips.

Doppio Turned around surprised. to suddenly see someone pop up from behind him seemingly out of no where. Ah? ....I didn't see anyone on the sidewalk earlier... I hope he didn't hear too much of that call with boss.

The soft spoken young man spoke up. "Hello! Ah......i don't mean to be rude , but you seem oddly happy for running into a total stranger." At least Doppio was pretty sure he was a total stranger. Doppio has a terrible memory and can't always remember the names and faces of people he's met.

The teen realized she wasn’t at the island anymore— this place was more mainland.                  ❝I uh… think so?❞ she tilted her head as she faced the stranger.                 ❝I just found myself in this city but cannot remember how I got here❞, she said.                Maybe the same thing had happened to the man, she wasn’t sure. But referring to what he talked about it sounded pretty obvious.

There’s "no I think so" it’s a simple yes or no question!" he thought, clearly wearing a frustrated expression on his face. At least she answered his question more properly eventually. Needless to say, this was quite the helpful tidbit of information to him. If the same strange event had happened to the girl, the possibility that his subordinates were here somewhere grew a little bit stronger.He was prepared to rudely shout out another order to the stranger. "Tell me your name!" The inflection in his voice was one that demanded an answer, rather than something she could decline to answer.
